February 23, 2022 marked a grand celebration for several Kapamilya stars as they renewed their contracts with ABS-CBN. Through this event, these premier artists are also renewing their commitment in working with the network to continue delighting, inspiring, and connecting with audiences wherever in the world they may be.
At Kapamilya Strong 2022, beloved artists such as Sam Milby, Gerald Anderson, Jolina Magdangal, Ronnie Alonte, Loisa Andalio, Zanjoe Marudo, Shaina Magdayao, Erich Gonzales, Jake Cuenca, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, and Gary Valenciano were honored as they began another chapter with the media company.

Erich Gonzales
"Hindi ko na nakikita sina lola at lolo ngayon kasi siyempre sa sitwasyon natin ngayon, siyempre pipiliin natin ’yung kaligtasan nila. I really plan to visit them soon, inaayos na natin ’yan and miss na miss ko na sila. Basta po I will see you soon po. And of course kay Enchong [Dee], alam niya na ’yan. Kaka-text ko lang sa kanya—nagpa-load talaga ako para lang ma-text siya [laughs]—you know Chong, I’ll always be here for you and mahal kita. He knows na that. Thank you, thank you po sa inyong lahat na nag-abala para sa event na ’to, ’yung mga tao behind the camera, thank you very much po. Thank you."
Jolina Magdangal
"I’m very, very happy. Hindi ko maintindihan, parang biglang nagfa-flashback sa’kin nu’ng bata pa ako na tatakbo-takbo ako dito sa ABS and after ilang years—tatlong dekada and more—‘eto, kasama ko pa rin ang ating mga boss at talagang nandito pa rin ako, hindi man tumatakbo, pero nandito pa rin sa ABS. Maraming-maraming salamat po sa pagtitiwala sa akin mula noon hanggang ngayon."
Ronnie Alonte
"Pampitong taon ko na rin ’to sa industriya. Sobrang happy ako kasi nand’un pa din ’yung… eto gaya nito, binigyan tayo ng panibagong kontrata ulit so tuloy-tuloy na ’tong trabaho na ’to. Excited na ’ko sa mga susunod pang mangyayari. Ang goal ko naman bilang artista is ’yung, kung ano ’yung nasimulan ko mas pagpatuloy ko pa, ’yung mga dream roles ko na magawa pa. Eto na ’yun pampatunay du’n na matutuloy na talaga."
Loisa Andalio
"Unang-una, gusto kong magpasalamat kay Lord kasi tinupad niya ’tong pangarap ko na matagal kong kinukulit sa kanya nu’ng bata pa lang ako. Sa mga boss, maraming-maraming salamat po sa pagtitiwala, sa opportunity na binibigay niyo po sa’kin. And sa mga fans, maraming-maraming salamat sa suporta ninyo at pinapangako kong lalo kong gagalingan para sa inyo dahil kung hindi dahil sa inyo wala ako dito ngayon. Maraming-maraming salamat, siyempre pati sa family ko na walang-sawang sumuporta, thank you din sa inyo. I love you all."
Jake Cuenca
"So, so thankful and blessed. My mom used to go with me to VTRs. She was there with me from the very, very start. When I was six years old, doing go-sees for fashion shows and doing VTRs for commercials. Talagang para sa’kin, a lot of these accomplishments—this—I really dedicate it to the people who love me and support me. And of course, the fans who support ABS-CBN no matter what, through thick and thin."
Sam Milby
"I’ve been so blessed, itong 16 years, with everyone that I’ve worked with, lahat ng mga directors: kay Direk FM, ’yung first teleserye ko, ‘Maging Sino Ka Man.’ I’ve been so blessed talaga itong last 16 years. Maraming salamat talaga sa patience niyo, siyempre may mga times na nahirapan ako sa mga linya sa Tagalog and you guys have just been supporting me all the way, so maraming salamat talaga."
Zanjoe Marudo
"Thank you kay Direk Connie [Macatuno], sa lahat ng nagbigay ng message sa’kin, sa pamilya ko, sa tatay ko. Ang gusto ko talagang pasalamatan ay ang ABS-CBN Management, Sir Carlo [Katigbak], Tita Cory [Vidanes]—maraming-maraming salamat dahil, ayun, gaya ng sinabi ko kanina, maraming beses na akong binigyan ng tsansa para matuto at para mahubog sa pag-arte, kaya naman ngayon, Direk Lauren [Dyogi]—kung hindi mo nakita ’yung litrato ko d’un sa Makati siguro wala ako ngayon dito pumipirma. Maraming salamat dahil ’yun, nakapasok ako ng 'Pinoy Big Brother' and tuluy-tuloy na. Mas ramdam kong Kapamilya ako dahil sa Star Magic, dahil sila, madalas pa nila kaming kasama kaysa sa totoo nilang pamilya kaya maraming salamat sa sakripisyong binibigay niyo sa amin. Thank you, thank you. I love you. At sa mga fans siyempre, maraming salamat—hanggang ngayon, hindi niyo kami iniiwan. Huwag kayong mag-alala dahil hindi kami titigil sa pagbigay ng mga dekalidad na mga projects at content."
Shaina Magdayao
"Hindi ko po maisa-isa pero sa lahat ng mga tao, mga nakatrabaho ko, maraming-maraming salamat. You make my world more beautiful with your presence and with your sincere friendship. ’Yung mga nakita ninyo doon—well, of course my family—I will always be grateful for their support, pero ’yung mga katrabaho ko, they’re my second family. Diba, ’yung mga nakakasama natin sa trabaho. Nagiging kapatid na natin sila, nanay, tatay, and especially the crew and the staff ng mga nakakatrabaho ko so kung nasaan man po ako ngayon at kung saan pa ako mapupunta, I will always share this with you."
Gerald Anderson
"Sabi ko nga nakaka-overwhelm sobra, but sa lahat ng nag-message sa’kin, ’yung pamilya ko, ’yung dad ko, si Direk, Sir Balilo, Enchong, sabi nga diba in life, there’s lots of ups and downs and when we’re down, that’s when you have to really learn para you become a better and stronger person ’pag nakabalik ka na sa taas. Babalik ulit sa kumpanya natin, maraming ups and downs, pero when we come back, we’re gonna come back stronger. Totoo ’yung 'Kapamilya Strong' kanina, kailangan magpa-picture talaga ako dito dahil alam ko ’yung pinagdadaanan ng tao behind-the-scenes, lahat, even with the management, production—tulad po ng sinabi ko kanina, ngayon pa lang diba na ito ’yung pinagdadaanan namin, pero mas gumanda pa ’yung content namin para sa inyo—just imagine when we come back stronger."
Regine Velasquez-Alcasid
"Na-o-overwhelm ako pero sobrang happy ako. Nandu’n pa ’yung nanay ko, at tsaka siyempre ’yung asawa ko and ’yung anak ko, na sabi pa niya sa’kin, 'Diba mommy, I’m first Kapamilya before you?' It’s wonderful to belong in this circle of Kapamilya, so like I said earlier, I’m very, very proud to be a Kapamilya. Thank you so much to our bosses, thank you, thank you for this opportunity, thank you very much."
Gary Valenciano
"ABS-CBN was with me in the best and most difficult times of my life. From the mid-2000s up to today, nandito pa rin sila. When I was in the hospital, they were there. And so I thought it was only natural for me to do the same and to be the same with them, na through thick and thin, Kapamilya pa rin. And I know, like what my wife said, there are still greater things to come, and people will be witness to this, and I’m looking forward to reaching Filipinos all over the world, carrying our music, carrying our vision and our mission—that’s why when I stand onstage, Kapamilya, I’m very vocal about my faith, kasi parang this is a miracle in itself, na nandito pa rin kami, and who knows what other miracles can unfold and will unfold in, not just next year, but in the many years to come. So thank you so much talaga for all the support you’ve given me and so many artists, and the support that you’ve given ABS-CBN to believe in us enough, that we still have so much more from our hearts into your hearts. During the media conference that followed the contract signing, the country's premier talent management, Star Magic, also kicked off its 30th anniversary celebration, announcing that the traditional Star Magic Ball and All-Star Games will be returning this year.
