Surprise! Ricky Martin And Jwan Yosef Are Married
Ricky Martin is officially off the market, and is a husband!
The Livin' la Vida Loca singer revealed that he secretly tied the knot with long-time partner and artist Jwan Yosef on January 10.
Over the course of their relationship, Ricky has publicly shared memorable moments he and Jwan share, once telling Andy Cohen last year that they wanted to throw a three-day celebration when they finally exchanged vows.
Well, surprise, surprise! Ricky and Jwan are now officially husband and husband, but the two are choosing to maintain their privacy about the intimate event at the moment. Not to worry, though, because Ricky has assured fans that a bigger party is in the works and we can expect tons of photos and footage of this couple in love by then.
“I can’t introduce him as my fiancé,” he said. “He’s my husband. He’s my man," shares Ricky with a smile in an interview with E! News. Jwan and Ricky live together, and have been raising twin boys Matteo and Valentino as well.
The singer-actor who turned 46 in December proposed to Jwan in 2016 after seeing each for a little over a year. Ricky shares that he got down on one knee, presented his beau with a velvet pouch containing their wedding bands, and nervously told Jwan that "he wanted to spend his life with him." Jwan, of course, gave a huge resounding "yes!"
The two "met" via Instagram when Ricky, an avid collector, was introduced to conceptual artist Jwan. They talked online until they finally met up in London six months after. Then, the rest, as they say, is history.
