It’s the first weekend I’m staying at the #Cokoro house which means I’ve officially left the nest. My mom may not say it directly but I know she’s sad that I’m no longer with her at home. My mom can’t stop “being a mom”—it’s impossible for her not to worry about us even though we’re all able adults. She can’t not think of us every day—wanting to make sure we’re well-fed, safe and comfortable. That’s just how she is.
