"The World Of The Married" Cast Members And Their Upcoming Projects
As the no. 1 drama in Korean cable TV history will be marking its first anniversary this month, we look back on some of its cast members and list down their new films and dramas
As we mark one year of life under quarantine, we also remember the K-dramas that made Filipinos' lives at home in the time of COVID a little bit more bearable.
In the first quarter of 2020, three titles stood out: Crash Landing on You, Itaewon Class, and The World of the Married.
As The World of the Married (or A World of Married Couple) will soon be celebrating its first anniversary on March 27, we're looking back on its cast members to see what they're currently up to and go through the projects they worked on after The World of the Married aired its final episode in May 16, 2020.

The World of the Married is based on BBC One's drama series Doctor Foster written by Mike Bartlett. Its plot revolves around a marriage that collapsed because the husband (Park Hae-joon's Lee Tae-oh) cheated on his wife (Kim Hee-ae's Ji Sun-woo) with a younger woman (Han So-hee's Yeo Da-kyung). The Korean adaptation was written by Joo Hyun and directed by Mo Wan-il and Kim Sung-jin.
This series that masterfully combines melodrama, romance, family, and thriller genres, with an extramarital affair at its core, was so well received it remains to be the highest-rated drama in Korean cable TV history, followed by Sky Castle, Crash Landing on You, Reply 1988, and Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (or Goblin) in the Top 5.
The World of the Married also received many awards, including Best Actress (Kim Hee-ae) and Best Director (Mo Wan-il) at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards; Actress of the Year - Rising Star (Han So-hee) at 2020 Brand of the Year Awards; and Best Actor in a Mini Series (Park Hae-joon) at the 7th APAN Star Awards. Metro.Style also named Kim Hee-ae as its Best Actress winner for her performance in this series at its Metro Best K-Drama Awards 2020. The K-drama was also shown on ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Channel.

After "The World of the Married," Kim Hee-ae had been busy and made a lot of buzz last year, when she received an award and nominations for the 2019 movie "Moonlit Winter." She also attended red carpet events, such as the 2020 Korea Popular Culture and Arts Award where she received the Presidential Commendation for her performance in "The World of the Married." She also did several shoots, modeling and endorsing brands like Fabiana Filippi and VW Vera Wang.

Han So-Hee
Han So-hee enjoyed an immense populariy boost, thanks to "The World of the Married." Since starring in the series as the mistress, she's been tapped by several brands (like L'Oréal Paris, Biotherm, Goutal Paris, Lanvin, Gucci, Lucky Chouette, Eider, Coupang Eats, Lemona Gyeol Collagen, and even NH Nonghyup Bank) as their muse and endorser. She also did shoots for Korean publications like "Grazia," "Dazed," and "Harper's Bazaar."

Han So-hee is slated to star in the upcoming action noir series that's been titled "Undercover." According to Netflix, in this series, Han So-hee "takes on the powerful role of Yun Ji-u, who enters a criminal organization to avenge her father who died under suspicious circumstances. She becomes the organization's undercover agent in the police force and begins delving into the secret behind her father's death." She was also offered a lead role in a webtoon-based series titled "I Know But" with Song Kang.

In October of last year, he was confirmed to star in a BTS Universe drama titled "Youth." It will be a fictional narrative on the journey of seven boys, named after the BTS members. Jeon Jin-seo is Jeon Jung-kook, described as a character who's been searching for the true meaning of happiness and is questioning his purpose in life.

The actor, who's been in the industry since 2005, is part of the cast of the upcoming Netflix drama "The Silent Sea," which stars Gong Yoo and Bae Doona. His role here has been identified as a security officer for the dangerous interstellar mission depicted in the drama.
