TWICE’s Dahyun Is Ready to Take on Her Acting Career

The K-pop idol, who recently debuted as an actress, is now filming for her first feature film!

In case you missed it, TWICE’s Dahyun recently debuted as an actress. She is the first member of this K-pop girl group to launch an acting career, landing her first screen roles.

The singer-rapper, who originally made it to the entertainment scene almost ten years ago as an idol, is now gearing up for an upcoming independent film titled Sprint.

Helmed by Lee Seung Hoon, the offering follows the story of an athlete named Kang Goo Young. The project, which reportedly began filming last month, stars Crash Landing On You actors Ha Seok Jin and Lee Shin Young

Dahyun is also confirmed to headline the Korean adaptation of the hit Taiwanese movie You Are the Apple of My Eye. Fans were in for a treat as she will star alongside B1A4’s Jinyoung.

The original film, which was released in 2011, revolves around a troublemaker high schooler Ko Ching Teng and a model student Shen Chia Yi.

Prior to her K-pop debut and foray into acting, Dahyun has already pulled off some projects where she showcased her star power.

For one, she took on remarkable acting chops and has appeared in at least two music videos in the past.

She made a cameo with the other TWICE girls in 2PM Wooyoung’s “R.O.S.E” and showcased her versatility in GOT7’s “Stop stop it.” Recently, she portrayed a part in Young K’s “nothing but” MV, too.

Dahyun acted alongside Korean A-lister and fellow idol Cha Eun Woo as well in the variety show Replies That Make Us Flutter.

Meanwhile, while Dahyun’s role in Sprint is yet to be revealed, fans expect to witness more of her capabilities following her big screen break.

Dahyun and her fellow TWICE members were recently in Manila for the TWICE x Oishi Snacktacular Fan Meet held at the Mall of Asia Arena.
