In Photos: 20 Veteran Korean Actors And Actresses Who Are Staples In K-Dramas (Part 1)
If you're a true K-Drama addict, you've definitely seen them in several series
If you've been watching K-dramas for so long, by this time, you're surely familiar with these faces. These veteran, seasoned Korean actors and actresses are regulars in our favorite Korean series. Although they're mostly doing supporting roles, they are usually memorable and pivotal in the plot.
And because they're very recognizable, sometimes one can already tell a K-drama is going to be good and enjoyable by the mere presence of these celebrities in the cast. Given their decades-long careers and in-demand status, there are times, too, when they're doing two (or more!) projects at the same time or wrapping up one series and immediately starting on the next one.
That's the case, for example, with one of K-dramaland's favorite eommas (mothers), Kim Mi-kyung, who worked on five projects just for 2020 alone: Hi Bye, Mama!, It's Okay to Not be Okay, Was It Love?, 18 Again, and When I Was Most Beautiful. Oh Jung-se, 56th Baeksang Arts Awards Best Supporting Actor (TV) for K-drama When the Camellia Blooms (WTCB), also had a packed 2019 with the following series: Touch Your Heart, WTCB, and Hot Stove League. This was shortly followed by hit K-dramas It's Okay to Not be Okay and The Good Detective this year.
Meet 20 of K-dramaland's favorite veteran and versatile actors and actresses. Check out the gallery below to see who these familiar faces are:

2020 has been a challenging year overall, but it's special for 43-year-old Korean actor Oh Jung-se. For one, his popularity soared with the hit 2020 K-drama "It's Okay to Not be Okay" (in photo), then he also won the Best Supporting Actor (TV) award for "When the Camellia Blooms" at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards last June. He's been in the industry since 2001, but that award is only his fourth, reason why his acceptance speech at the award ceremony was very emotional. The recognition was such a huge motivation for him to keep embracing this craft and continue getting better in acting.
