The holiday season means high time to take a break from everyone's busy schedule. We spend it with family or squeeze in time for a trip to somewhere new or special, whether locally or abroad.
Last 2023, several celebrities chose to savor their free time while on Christmas vacation, celebrating the occasion with loved ones, friends, and family. As 2024 begins with a bang, they also took the chance to rest, relax, and commune with their surroundings and themselves.

Bela Padilla
Bela Padilla headed to Los Angeles, California for the holidays and attended Angelica Panganiban’s wedding affair last December 31. She went to the sunshine state’s famous landmarks like the Los Angeles County Museum of Art with her friends, and caught up with a running club on one occasion while savoring the morning sun in LA.

Catriona Gray
Catriona Gray reunited with her parents as she returned to Australia to celebrate the Christmas holiday in her hometown. She took a trip to a small town south of Perth called Margaret River, immersed in its culture, and tried out some activities such as local cuisine and liquor tasting and sight-seeing.

Elisse Joson
A few days following her Christmas and New Year celebration with McCoy de Leon and daughter Felize de Leon, Elisse Joson went straight to Palawan to delight in a restful staycation at a resort in El Nido. On Instagram, she shared snippets of her weekend stay with Felize, showing her villa and some scenic views from her vacation.

Ivana Alawi
A few days following her prank experience with Marian Rivera, Ivana Alawi posted some snapshots from her Japan trip. The actress traveled to Tokyo and took a side trip to Mt. Fuji with her sister Mona Alawi. She shared a snap of them together, saying that her sis is her “person.”

Kathryn Bernardo
Kathryn Bernardo chose to unwind and celebrate in peace for the holidays. She had a proper R&R at The Farm at San Benito with her family and flew to Bangkok, Thailand a few days following her retreat. There, she relished the gastronomic treats and goodness of Thai dishes and delicacies.

Kyle Echarri
Kyle Echarri and his family flew to the United States for the holidays and spent it hopping from attraction to attraction. The Kapamilya actor was even awestruck at the sight of a tourist spot in Navajo, saying that he never thought he would see it in reality. “‘Kala ko sa laptop ko lang makikita ‘tong lugar na ‘to,” his caption on Instagram reads.

Nadine Lustre
Nadine Lustre decided to go to Chonburi, Thailand during the holiday break for the highly-anticipated Wonderfruit Festival. The affair is an annual gathering for arts, culture, music, and community. It features a farm, parties and performances, art installations and activities, wellness talks, and workshops.

Pia Wurtzbach
Pia Wurtzbach went to London, England to celebrate Christmas with her sister Sarah and her family. She had a stop in St. Andrews and Edinburgh, Scotland, too, and traveled straight to Maldives with her husband Jeremy Jauncey for an extended holiday break, more bonding and recharging, and a wellness retreat.

The Heussaff family flew to Australia and spent the holiday season touring various attractions. Anne Curtis, Erwan Heussaff, and Dahlia Heussaff visited Melbourne Museum, Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria, and Rottnest Island. To top off 2023, the trio also took time to watch their “last light of the year.”
