WATCH: Rocio Olbes Shares How She Discovered Her Personal Style

Author, artist, and women's rights advocate Rocio Olbes-Ressano believes that one's personal style evolves as they grow older.

When Metro Society raided her wardrobe a few years ago, we noticed an abundance of classic and feminine pieces that perfectly embody her tastes: refined, classic, and elegant. For international labels, she loves timeless brands such as Valentino, Yves Saint Laurent, and Ralph Lauren—but also turns to designers such as Rajo Laurel and Rosanna Ocampo-Rodriguez for proudly Filipino bespoke creations. But at the end of the day, she believes that fashion isn't all about what's on the label—she's fond of mixing high-end and retail picks in creating her everyday looks. She says, "My beautiful mother always tells me to focus on the fit, and not on the brand."

According to the 2019 top 10 Metro Most Stylish woman, her evolving taste in fashion reflects the seasons she's gone through, saying, "[By] embracing who I am and where I am, I saw my style in a natural, beautiful way."

Watch Rocio talk more about her take on what it means to be a truly stylish woman below:
