WATCH: Salome Uy Shares Her Ultimate Closet Staples
READ: #MetroMostStylish2019: Salome Uy
A businesswoman by day, dolled up for events by night, but all the time wanting to spend time with her family—these are the three pillars of Salome’s every day. A regular and balanced routine of work and play keeps her refreshed and fulfilled, and being able to fulfill her duties as a mother, wife, and trendsetter.
And when it comes to her clothes, there are also three things that Salome says every woman should have in their own closets: denim flare pants, which can be casual enough for everyday wear but can be dressed up for something fancy; black Chanel purse that can take you from day to night; and a pair of dangling earrings, which gives that extra character to any outfit.
As a size 0, Salome can wear anything she wants, off the rack or something straight from the designer houses. But she proves her bold yet elegant sense of style in how she chooses playful and edgy clothes. For her, it’s not about conforming to what’s in or new. In fact, she always wants to go against the tide and break expectations. She says the way she dresses up is to be “different from what people expects me to be.”
Watch Salome talk more about her take on what it means to be a truly stylish woman below:
