The Binibining Pilipinas 2024 Grand Coronation Night is finally happening tonight at The Big Dome. Dubbed "Beauty Ever After," the glitzy and glamorous evening also doubled as a reunion of more than 100 past beauty queens, as it coincides with the 60th anniversary of Binibining Pilipinas. As they gathered onstage, the prestigious pageant's motto became more crystal clear: "Once a Binibini, always a Binibini!"

The 60th Binibining Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night indeed kicked off in the grandest way, with its former beauty queens gracing the stage stunning evening gowns. Joining them onstage for the opening performance was Concert King Martin Nievera, entertaining everyone with his classic version of "Win Your Heart." A look back on the humble beginnings of the pageant was shown, throwing it back to July 3, 1964 when its coronation night coincided with Typhoon Dading that led to the event's postponement; two days later, the event resumed and the first Binibining Pilipinas queen, Myrna Panlilio, was crowned.

The P-Pop kings from SB19 were the next performers. This number was followed by a look back on the winners the pageant has produced for Miss Supranational, Miss Intercontinental, Miss Globe, Miss International, and Miss Universe.

Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano amped up the excitement with his performance, which was followed by the stage showcase of the previous titleholders: Miss Supranational 2013 Mutya Datul, Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obeñita, Miss International 1970 Aurora Pijuan, Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez, Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, and Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran. Of course, the event won't be complete without acknowledging how Binibining Pilipinas made history with the leadership of BPCI (Binibining Pilipinas Charities Incorporated) chairperson Stella Marquez Araneta.

It was then the moment to shine for the diamond batch of Binibining Pilipinas. Wearing sparkly silver dresses, the 40 aspiring beauty queens danced and rocked the stage to the fitting tune of Rihanna's "Shine Bright Like a Diamond."

The coronation night became even grander when the night's roster of hosts was introduced: Miss Grand International 2016 1st Runner-Up Nicole Cordoves, Binibining Pilipinas Universe 2014 MJ Lastimosa, Binibining Pilipinas World 1993 Ruffa Gutierrez, Miss International 2016 Kylie Verzosa, and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray.

The hosts then introduced the all-women board of judges that include Beautederm CEO and president Rhea Tan, Miss International 2013 Bea Rose Santiago, volleyball player Fifi Sharma, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Miss International 2024 Andrea Rubio, Miss Universe 1973 Margie Moran, and BPCI co-chairperson Conchitina Bernardo

The much-awaited swimsuit segment was up next. But before this year's candidates modeled onstage, there was a throwback presentation of the past Best in Swimsuit awardees first. SB19 reemerged onstage for another performance as the Binibining Pilipinas 2024 candidates slayed in swimwear. They ore creations by Dia Ali PH by Justine Aliman and Manny Halasan with accessories by Christopher Munar, as styled by Patrick Henry.

The spectacle continued with the evening gown segment, with TJ Monterde entertaining the crowd and serenading the first batch of candidates and Maki showcasing his own brand of performance for the second batch of candidates. In between the two-part segment was a throwback showcase of the pageant's past Best in Evening Gown winners.

Interestingly, as host Catriona pointed out, the first-ever Binibining Pilipinas queen, Myrna Panlilio, has the same name as the winner for the pageant's 60th edition, Myrna Esguerra.

Congratulations to all the winners!
