Mother's Day may be over, but in Metro.Style, we continue to celebrate this beautiful mother-daughter duo whose relationship is truly inspirational. They show how mothers and daughters can be like sisters, while giving each other space and maintaining that love and respect for each other.

Save for some Instagram posts, it's rare for people to see how close these two really are. While they both love fashion and enjoy dressing up, they also have a lot of differences, which allow them to learn from each other.

Gretchen, being the iconic actress and socialite that she is, may appear intimidating, but around Dominique, she morphs into this fun woman that moms will be able to easily relate to. It's apparent that her daughter helps bring out what Dominique describes as "her childlike qualities."

The adorable and bubbly Dominique, on the other hand, gets a lot of lessons from her mom on being a strong-willed and fearless woman. "She's the most courageous person I know," says Dominique. "She has so many little nuggets of gold. This woman’s so smart. If people only knew she gives the best advice. She always tells me that you should never be fearful of fear because you have to use it as motivation. You have to use your fear to fuel your drive."
