Chiara Ferragni Is The First Disney Godmother Of Mickey Mouse
She is the very first official Disney godmother to Mickey Mouse, and she dresses the part so well from head to toe!
Mickey Mouse just celebrated his 90th birthday last weekend, commemorating the release of his very first “Steamboat Willie” animated short in theaters back in November 18, 1918. The celebrations were huge around the world, with parties and parades celebrating Mickey’s birthday in different Disneyland destinations.
At Disneyland Paris, a huge birthday parade was held, plus a kick-off of the holiday celebrations done with a grand Christmas tree lighting. Italian fashion icon Chiara Ferragni joined the eventful day as the very first official godmother of our favorite animated mouse.
Who is Chiara Ferragni?
Chiara is one of the most influential people in the fashion industry, starting out with a fashion blog in 2007, before eventually transitioning to modeling, television, and entrepreneurship.
Chiara is just 31 years old but she has already built herself a sterling fashion and merchandise career. She has turned her blog, The Blonde Salad, into a shopping window filled with fashion and beauty advice and products, and has created the Chiara Ferragni Collection, her very own fashion brand that speaks of her style and character. A trademark of every Chiara Ferragni piece: her iconic winky face logo.
Chiara may look like an intimidating businesswoman, what with her success in career and in life, but she shows how alive the kid inside her is in her adoration for anything Mickey Mouse. Throughout the years, she's been seen sporting her favorite Mickey Mouse-printed outfits from jackets to hoodies.
In 2013, she even inked herself with Mickey taking a selfie! Now that’s some major fangirling!
Chiara celebrates with Mickey at Disneyland Paris
This year, as Mickey celebrates his 90th birthday, Chiara’s love for the famous animated character comes full circle as she becomes his very first official godmother.
At the celebration held in Disneyland on Sunday, Chiara was seen in two spectacular red outfits. The first was a textured dress matched with the iconic Minnie Mouse headband, a simple homage to the fun Mickey and Minnie stand for.
She then changed into another full-on red couture gown by designer Giambattista Valli. To match her huge red gown, she traded in her heels for a pair of her signature Roger sneakers from the Chiara Ferragni Collection. The sneakers are for sale and may be ordered online via her store, chiaraferragnicollection.com
