Jan Catherine Sy, Granddaughter of Henry Sy Sr., Passes Away

She was a lifelong equestrian, assistant VP and project director for SMDC, a faithful Christian, a granddaughter, and a daughter.

Jan Catherine Sy died in the early evening of March 18, Thursday at the age 0f 29, her family confirmed. 

Jan Catherine Sy's cause of death was not specified, however, it was speculated that she may have been exposed to bacteria that made her seriously ill. She was described to be in critical condition on Thursday morning, then passed away a few hours later.

The Facebook page of The Cup of Faith, a coffee shop that caters to the CCF community where Jan and her parents actively participated in, reposted the following message from the Sy family:

Jan Catherine Sy was the daughter of Henry Sy Jr., SM Prime Holdings chairman, and his wife Princess. She has two younger siblings.
