Catherine, the daughter of RFM and Go Negosyo’s Joey and Marissa Concepcion; and Javier, the grandson of Lopez Group chairman emeritus Oscar M. Lopez, son of Bea Lopez Puno and Atty. Eric Puno—met at a soiree between their schools, Assumption and Southridge, in 2009.
While neither were looking for a relationship at the time, Javier saw Catherine, and thought she was the most beautiful girl in the room. They began dating soon after—the first relationship of both that would go on to continue for the rest of their lives.

This powerhouse couple actually took their time to work on their studies and careers before tying the knot. Almost half of their time together was spent in a long-distance relationship. While Javier majored in Economics and minored in Business Studies at New York University, Catz finished her degree in Marketing at De La Salle University. She currently works in Brand Management at L’Oréal.

Javier returned to Manila after college to work for Equis Energy, a private equity fund involved in renewable energy. “I got into it because I wanted to hone my skills in finance and also because of my interest in the energy industry,” he shared in an interview for Lopez Link last year.
Picturesque wedding
The ceremony began at 3PM in Santuario de San Antonio, with Catz awing everyone in her entrance to the tune of Moulin Rouge’s “Come What May.” She wore a Carolina Herrera lace corset bodice gown with a multi-tiered lace appliqué skirt.

Celebrity makeup artist Mickey See and hairstylist Renz Pangilinan gave Catz the glowing bride treatment with her hair gathered in a low bun to secure the three-meter veil.
Javier, on the other hand, wore a classic black Hugo Boss tuxedo, with a white shirt and black bowtie.

The groom’s party kept it simple; all the groomsmen, including the Best Man, older brother, Rocco, wore sleek navy suits and slim red ties with a pin.

Celebration continues
The celebration continues at the reception in Shangri-La at the Fort, similarly outfitted in their golden fields motif of wheat and floral elements. The floral illustration seen in the details are also a sweet nod to the couple's families: the two species of flowers depicted are named after Oscar and Consuelo Lopez, Javier's maternal grandparents, and the wheat to represent the Concepcions and their family business, RFM. The rest of the ballroom was surrounded by white floor-to-ceiling curtains that seemed to bathe the ballroom into a lot of light.

But they made the venue even more special with the large LED display that transformed the space from indoors to outdoors and served as a dance floor backdrop. Scenes pictured included the gorgeous New York City skyline—where the couple will be headed in the fall, as Javier starts his MBA in Columbia business school.

Guests were treated to a multiple-course sit-down dinner, and were invited to use the disposable camera found on each table. In line with the elegant rustic feel, monogrammed copper petite au gratin dishes were given as party favors.
Outside the ballroom, a clean millennial pink sitting area served as a photo booth.

A live band played throughout the night, though it was a close friend of the couple who sang for the first dance. Catherine then surprised everyone with a rare live-performance of Adele’s “Daydreamer” in a sweet serenade for her new husband.
After dinner, Catherine changed into a white silk slip gown by Vania Romoff, and let her hair down into loose waves, held together with a starry crystal headband. The couple went on to dance with their friends and family through the rest of the night.
Some of the guests spotted that night were ABS-CBN Chairman Mark Lopez, Rockwell Land Senior Vice President Mike Lopez and ABS-CBN's Metro Group Head Christina Lopez, Lopez Museum Executive Director Cedie Lopez Vargas, Eric and Beng Dee, Jaime and Lizzie Zobel, Coach Chot and Cherry Reyes, Chef Margarita Forés, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, and more.
