Everything We Love About Meghan Markle's BFF, Stylist And Fashion Contributor Jessica Mulroney
Aside from the fact that she's beautiful, has got a slammin' body, raised the bar for being a super mom and wife, and possibly set up Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, i.e.: the greatest royal love story of this era, Jessica's got a ton of other things going for her, making her a role model for women around the world—including us!
Though many of her more recent followers might have only heard of her when royal wedding updates reached fever pitch earlier this year, Jessica's actually been a stalwart in the fashion industry for quite some time now. She's known to be a supporter of Canadian brands and designers (she's from the Great White North herself) and of course, the best friend, unofficial wedding coordinator-slash-maid of honor, and long-time stylist of the Duchess of Sussex herself.
Considering that she's married to former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney's son Ben, and is the go-to fashion advisor of Justin Trudeau's wife Sophie, it makes perfect sense for Meghan to want her by her side for all her royal wardrobe consultations. And if you're anything like us, you've been paying close attention to Meghan's eye-catching wardrobe since day one, which means you know how much she's been killing it ever since!
To top it all off, when she's not busy making sure Meghan is a sight to behold, she also moonlights as a wedding stylist to Canada's most influential, manages the public relations arm of bridal salon Kleinfeld Canada, a fitness guru, and frequently contributes to wedding magazine Wedding Vacations.
One word for Jessica: wow.
As if she wasn't already massively successful, Jessica recently listed down a new item on her already impressive resume: signing up to Good Morning America as its fashion contributor. There, she'll talk about trends, fashion tips and tricks, upcoming sales, how to's, style critiques, and everything a stylish woman would love to know.
She made her debut on the morning talk show in October, and so far, has fleshed out her (super helpful) thoughts on building a capsule wardrobe and winter's most popular fashion item: coats!
Everything she discussed summed up pretty much why we love her approach to dressing up; she strikes a balance between luxury finds and more reasonably priced items as well as trendy choices and investment staples, always emphasizing that an elegant, well-put together look can be achieved by including pieces from both ends of the spectrum. (A style rule that Meghan follows, too!)
On top of all of what she does, her love for fashion extends well beyond her professional life, too.
Jessica co-founded The Shoebox Project, a philanthropic effort developed to give women living in shelters their own set toiletries and cosmetics. The mechanics are simple; participants are tasked to literally fill up a shoebox with usable products worth around $50, and the boxes are then distributed by Jessica's team. To date, hundreds of shelters have benefited from thousands of their shoeboxes.
When it comes to Jessica's achievements, we repeat ourselves: just wow.
