14 Times Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman Looked Like Top Model Kendall Jenner

An exclusive send-off event by the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Inc. was recently held at the Novotel Manila Araneta Center to wish Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman all the best for her upcoming competition.

The 47th Miss Intercontinental coronation night is scheduled on January 26. Initially planned to take place in Japan, the pageant will instead be held in the Mall of Asia Arena, Philippines due to logistical issues brought about by the fact that the former will be hosting the Olympics in 2020.

With Catriona Gray crowned as Miss Universe 2018 just last December, Karen is definitely under a lot of pressure, but the beauty queen is unfazed. She has prepared so hard for the pageant, and she knows she'll give it her all.

"With Miss Intercontinental being held in my nation, it makes me very proud because not only will I have my country supporting me there onstage every minute, but also because it will give everyone from the outside the chance to see our amazing country," the former London-based trade analyst says.

The Miss Intercontinental crown has been elusive for the Philippines. Last year, the country's representative, Katarina Rodriguez, finished at the first runner-up spot. Because of this, there are great expectations from Karen. Pressure is a given when one is representing the country, but she says, "I don't want to pressure myself but instead try to be as present as much as possible and enjoy the journey."

Asked about her preparations for the pageant, Karen says she's been working on improving her walk, eating healthy, and practicing for the Q&A portion.

Every beauty queen has a mission or an advocacy. In the case of Karen, the cause that is closest to her heart is that of improving compulsory education in the rural parts of the Philippines. Karen shares, "Having been born and raised in Bohol, I attended primary school there, and looking back, I witnessed the hardships students underwent just to attend primary school. And I realized that there's a huge lack of teaching materials and quality in secondary and primary education. That's why it excites me to be able to be given this opportunity to promote my advocacy."

Karen was also appointed by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process as one of the country's peace ambassadors last September.

Beautiful inside and out, Karen epitomizes the essence of being a beauty queen.

Interestingly, she's been getting a lot of compliments, too, for how much she and top model and reality star Kendall Jenner look alike. She is, of course, very flattered with the comparison. And browsing through her Instagram feed, we're actually convinced of the resemblance. So, here, scroll through this gallery to see photos of Karen and Kendall side by side:
