Say hello to Mr. and Mrs. Cruz! Laureen Uy and Miggy Cruz tied the knot on April 8 at Club Paradise in Coron, Palawan. The beach destination wedding looked breathtaking, especially with the beautiful sunset as the backdrop of their first official portraits as husband and wife, as captured by top wedding photographer Pat Dy.
Laureen wore a minimalist strapless Vivienne Westwood wedding gown with a scoop neckline that worked perfectly with her multi-layered choker necklace. Miggy donned a custom Randolf barong paired with beige trousers for the ceremony. The other brands and suppliers that made Laureen and Miggy's wedding more memorable and visually stunning include wedding planner/coordinator Amada Tirol, videographer Bob Nicolas, JMA Jewelry for their wedding rings, Rosa Clara for the bridal accessories, bridal robe by Eve The Label, and Gathered Creative Co. for the floral styling.
Before their big day, the couple threw a welcome dinner that had them partying the night away with their closest family and friends. For that gathering, Laureen wore a custom dress by Rajo Laurel. Present at the #LauMiLongTime event were Laureen and Miggy’s friends, like Camille Co and Joni Koro, Kryz Uy and Slater Young, Nicole Andersson, Lissa Kahayon, Patricia Prieto, Verniece Enciso and Alfred Dichaves, Kaila Estrada, David Guison and Angelique Manto, Gabs Gibbs and Marga Bermudez, Chi Gibbs and Anton Cruz, James Reid and Issa Pressman, Michelle Dy, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Anne Curtis-Smith and Erwan Heussaff, Vice Ganda, BJ Pascual, Rajo Laurel, Nix Alañon, Jess Wilson, Georgina Wilson, and Bea Soriano-Dee and Eric Dee Jr. Laureen’s siblings, creatives Liz and Vince Uy, were with her every step of the way as well.
Laureen's bridal beauty look was by makeup artist Jelly Eugenio and hairstylist Raymond Santiago. The bride was styled by her sister, Liz Uy, and her Stylized Studio team.

The wedding was not only stunningly executed, it was heartwarming, too. In her wedding vow, Laureen told Miggy, 'Two weeks after dating you, I already knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.' Miggy, on the other hand, shared this message for Laureen: 'I've signed up to be your hypeman for life. With you by my side, I know I'll always try to be the best version of myself.'
Laureen and Miggy are the latest cover stars of Metro Weddings. In our exclusive interview with the couple, they shared one thing that has made their relationship work and stay strong through the years.
Laureen said, “We have this saying, ‘always beside.’ Ever since we’ve got together, we’ve really done it. We’re always beside [each other]. No one’s going to be left behind. No one’s going to be in front of each other. In all journeys and every step of the way, we’re supposed to be ‘beside.’ And I think, you know, parang naka-instill siya sa’min.”
“Parang naglalakad lang kami,” Miggy added.
Their road to forever has begun. Congratulations and best wishes, Laureen and Miggy!
