ABS-CBN entertainment correspondent and blogger Marie Lozano made the rounds in Istanbul, Turkey's most beautiful locations—and there are many—for her 40th birthday. Her Instagram feed, while always enviable, is boasting of all the jaw-dropping sights she's seen and experiences she'll forever treasure, many of which we'd love to learn more about. Overall, she makes the city that seamlessly weaves together its historic, multi-cultural past with its progressive present picture-perfect in every way, be it indoors or outdoors, day or night, up close or from afar.

Extremely well-traveled, Marie also showcased her expertise in packing the most perfect outfits that matched the beauty of her surroundings. Clad in stylish ensembles from head to toe in each of her photos, Marie wowed her thousands of Instagram followers with the way she pulled off each casual-chic pairings effortlessly. Always on top of the season's style trends, she opted for lots of dresses with simple silhouettes, color block jump suits and bikinis, sheer makeup finishes, versatile accessories, and statement yet functional bags.

Of course, it definitely helped that she had the sharp eye of Sweet Escape's photographers to capture her very best moments.

To those dreaming of what each Turkish destination Marie visited had in store for her, look no further. We were just as curious as you about what we might want to do if we ever found ourselves visiting the same places (we have our fingers crossed!).

Check in at the Swissotel The Bosphorus Istanbul

This five-star hotel is beloved by many a traveler primarily because of its panoramic views that can be enjoyed from the comforts of one's guest room or many of the hotel's shared areas. Sitting in the heart of the city, it's just right for those who wish to explore a new destination on foot. Shopping centers, the best dining spots, historic architecture and gardens, and the European banks of the awe-inspiring Bosphorus are all within reach, and when the day is done, a trip to the hotel's award-winning Pürovel Spa & Sport will be right there waiting.

Or, Rox Cappadocia

Equally stunning as the Swissotel, the Rox entices travelers to spend time here, thanks to its almost unreal views of the Goreme and Guvercinlik Valley below and the Uchisar Castle right beside it. Beigey brown rocky cliffs as far as the eye can see relax the mind, body, and soul, while the hotel's unique, homey interiors (no room is decorated in the same way) welcome guests at the end of a long, satisfying day.

Don't miss Galrie Ikman

This hotspot of exquisite Turkish goods that would make the best keepsakes of a trip to Istanbul should be a must. It's chock-full of authentic items like rugs and fabrics, lamps and other metallic works of art as well as home decor. For the traveler who likes to collect unique and meaningful souvenirs, this place is heaven.

Visit the Süleymaniye Camii

This magnificent Ottoman Empire mosque is one of the most recognizeable structures of Istanbul. Well-preserved, admired, and respected by Turkish citizens regardless of creed, the building is a symbol of the nation's multi-faceted cultural, artistic, and religious heritage.

And the Hagia Sophia, too

What was once the headquarters of the Greek Orthodox church in the city built in the Middle Ages has now been transformed into a splendid museum. Retaining most of its original art that showcased many Christian images and stories, the venue is appreciated by travelers from all over the world. Its massive dome is particularly a design element of interest.
