For this challenge, they were asked to create casting videos wearing minimal makeup and to showcase their natural beauty from all angles
The Top 75 official delegates at this year's Miss Universe Philippines were asked to participate in a Casting Video Challenge. The voting for this challenge, which is done via the organization's mobile app, started last August 16 and will end on August 20 at 11:59pm. This will bring the aspiring beauty queens closer to Miss Universe Philippines 2021's Top 50.
"For our latest challenge, we asked our delegates to create casting videos with minimal make-up. It's time to showcase their natural beauty from all angles," the Miss Universe PH organization said.
Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo added, "As a Miss Universe PH delegate and potential winner, many doors will open for them. Even as a delegate, they can be scouted by brands and agents, so we want to prepare them for these opportunities by having casting videos."
The casting videos submitted by the delegates start with each of them introducing themselves and the provinces or cities they're representing. Then they were asked to put their hair up and down while posing to show different angles and facial expressions. To give glimpses of their personalities, they were also asked to answer the question "What makes you happy?"
