There is a fine art to homemaking and it all boils down to details and making it a true reflection of the self. In a special issue, Metro Society takes an exclusive look inside several uber stylish homes and most cherished spaces.

On the cover is the fashionable and effortlessly glam Stephanie Kienle-Gonzalez, who opens her beautifully designed home to the magazine. Immensely talented photographer BJ Pascual captures Steph in her element—sashaying and grooving to her playlist, all smiles, and playing dress up. Steph has truly mastered the art of understated chic, both in her sense of fashion and in her home decorating.

Walking into her home, it is truly a special space she has created for her husband, Christian, and their two girls, and reflects her meticulous devotion to each and every area of her life—her passion for her work, her deep love for her family, and their combined love for travel, most especially for Africa and all the untamed, wild adventure it holds.

On the surface, it may seem that Steph is a natural at making everything she does and achieves seem so easy but turn the page to the cover story and discover that underneath all that glam and glitz is grit, and lots of hard work. When asked to characterize her recent evolution, she reveals to Leah Puyat: “I like to think of myself as a constant work in progress; I am never stagnant. So while every year brings on more responsibilities, more daily stress… there’s also more perspective.” Catch a glimpse of her life of gracious refinement and contemporary polish in this month’s cover story, and just how her home reflects the truly beautiful life she lives.

When life throws you a curve ball- what do you do? ?? While i never had ambitions to be on TV, i was recently given the opportunity to host a show on interiors. It all fell into place naturally - it was within my line of work , i already knew and loved my cohost, and believe it or not, my cousin was assigned to direct it - all of these positive signs were too good to be true, so i said - let’s try this out ! While i have been a bit over stretched balancing my full time work with Philux, motherhood and the show, it has been an exciting couple of months and I am so happy I went for the challenge. I have learned many new things about design, have met interesting people and have also a new found respect for this line of work which requires patience, team work, self confidence and a sharp eye for detail. . . I am very grateful for this new chapter and excited to share that our new show, Metro Home will be premiering tomorrow, June 6 at 10pm on Metro Channel ! While I ask you to forgive my fidgeting and stutters as I go through this learning curve, i hope you enjoy the content we have all worked hard to put together for your viewing. . . A big shout out to my cohost EIC and also first time TV host @antonbarretto, the whole @metrochannelph team and the production team including @sikwiddit for directing this season with such professionalism. Thank you and please do find the time to tune in ???? . . #stephkienleadventures #metrohome #metrochannel #comingsoon #newventure #metrochannelph #metrohometv makeup by #maccosmeticsph #interiordesign #homeanddesign #yolo #seizetheyear

Succeeding the cover, step into the well-designed homes of other Metro Channel hosts: Joey Mead-King, Tim Yap, Marc Nelson, Maggie Wilson-Consunji, Anton Barretto, and Claude Tayag. There is a simple secret to being an exceptional host: one must love the home they are in. These hosts take us inside their homes to tour room after room of fabulous interiors and creatively decorated spaces that truly reflect the individuals that inhabit them. Turn the page, get your fill of design inspiration, and nab a tip (or two) from these home entertainers and tastemakers. Afterwards, meet the people behind ABS-CBN Lifestyle Ecosystem and Metro Superbrand, as they open their remarkable and beautifully styled homes in an exclusive feature. Take a peek into their personal sanctuaries and most cherished of spaces, as they reveal just what makes them so special.

Also within this issue, get inside the new boutique of Vania Romoff at the new wing of Power Plant Mall as she showcases her High Summer Collection, which she reveals to Metro Society is inspired by movie Call Me By Your Name. Speaking of fashion—this month’s fashion stories are all about exceptional design and style as we highlight Escada and Hugo Boss in both editorials. Peep at the next level athleisure in Style Physics and envy-worthy shimmer and metallic that have a place in any wardrobe in What Women Want. Sit down with Mai Mai Cojuangco in the CEO Profile as she unveils Demetria x Idee, a collection of three timeless handbags that are just drool-worthy. In Entertaining with Flair, dine with none other than the Lechon Diva, Dedet dela Fuente, who after her delicious special dinner at the Shangri-La at the Fort, opens her home and hosts a gastronomic feast of the senses. Then, get ready for a Swedish comeback and zoom around the metro in the Volvo S90, reveling in the newness the carmaker has infused into its flagship saloon offering. Wine and dine at the Grand Hyatt’s new establishments, No. 8 China and The Cellar, when in town at Bonifacio Global City. Have itchy feet? Jet off to Russia with photographer and model Arthur Tselischev, as he takes one through the sights and adventures the Great North has to offer, then back to Manila to have some quality time with an awesome twosome: interior designs Tessa Alindogan and Tessa Prieto-Valdes, in Versus, as they share how their friendship with one another is a living testament to that fact that opposites attract.
