Experience Stylish Beachfront Living at Rockwell Land’s New Mactan Development
From glistening pools to serene ambiance, Metro.Style jetted off to Aruga in Mactan for a quick weekend getaway to see the new development first hand
It was a sight to behold—the glistening water of lined with yachts in the horizon, the gentle rise and fall of the waves of Mactan’s sunny shores—this was the scene that welcomed Metro.Style in the Aruga Pavillon at Punta Engaño, Cebu. It was a relaxing day for the great outdoors, and with the sophisticated environs, we felt quickly at home.
Here are some of our key takeaways from that gorgeous weekend:
The Villas
We loved the bright, airy, and inviting feel of the villa with its contemporary tropical motif, well-adorned and warm wood furnishings, tiled flooring with accent mosaics, a soothing palette of colors of the sea, while the local rattan furniture balanced the more modern pieces.
Outdoor Lounge With Pool
As we stepped out of the villa, we immediately saw an outdoor lounge with a pool—perhaps a taste of what it’s like to really live in the property and wake up to the spectacular beachfront views.
Hiluntungan Channel Trip
We took a cruise along the Hilutungan channel, where we enjoyed delicious canapes amidst the wonderful company of friends. Come sunset, it was glorious to see the setting sun and the surroundings that immediately set us up peacefully.
An Evening of the Rockwell Lifestyle
While the five hectare enclave is still under development, we still got a taste of what the Rockwell lifestyle was like in Cebu—from Mactan’s scenic ambiance and reinforced the set-up’s rustic charm. Everything just ticked off all the right boxes: The area enveloped in lush landscapes with leafy tropical plants distributed throughout the area and draped with soft outdoor plants. And of course, the 270-meter wide beachfront with natural fine white sand—the very spot where we had out cocktails and grilled seafood by the water.
Only For The Discerning Few
Indeed, Aruga Resort and Residences, Mactan, located along the leisure strip of Punta Engaño—as Rockwell Land’s first residential development, perfectly combines beautiful hotel and residential spaces. Surrounded by panoramic views of the Magellan Bay and Hilutungan Channel, it is one for only the discerning few.
