Discover Mindanao In A New Light With This Exceptional Immersion Experience

Be a part of this one-of-a-kind conference that will shed light on the undiscovered beauty that rests in the corners of Mindanao

Philippines is widely known for its beautiful beaches and incredible natural resources. From the thousands of islands that are home to different cultures, people from all over the world travel to the Philippines to see and experience the beauty that lies beneath its three island groups: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Among these three, Mindanao has always been considered mysterious, its beauty still unknown to many Filipinos. While most of us are aware of how rich the culture here is, presenting that fact in a way that will inform, educate, and inspire puts thing into perspective.  We take time watching these documentaries about dream weavers who create extraordinary textiles that are inspired by their dreams, and through these, we get a glimpse of what Mindanao is truly about and crave for more adventure in this captivating island that has a lot of stories waiting to be told.

Since more and more people are drawn to discover more about Mindanao, IPG Mediabrands decided to pursue a research on its culture, economy, commercial make-up, and development prospects titled "Navigate Mindanao." This intensive research is set to create a deeper understanding of our country’s next growing land that may help shape the future of the Philippines.

Navigate Mindanao happened last October 10 to 11 at the Dusit Thani Residence, Davao. “What we want is to separate the myths from the truth. To really bring out and get a deeper understanding of Mindanao. Not just for marketing, but also on personal level,” shares the CEO of IPG Media Brands PH, Venus Navalta.

The IPG Media Brand’s Navigate Mindanao gathered notable speakers who shared insights about the wonders and opportunities in Mindanao. “Some are from the government, media, and a representative from Mindanao to provide us a local perspective. There are discussions on culture, consumer and opportunities in Mindanao,” Navalta says. The conference will end in an exciting immersion to grasp the newfound knowledge from the speakers at the event.

Navalta hopes that through this study and the one-of-a-kind immersion experience, Filipinos will grow to be more interested in discovering Mindanao and its lesser known destinations. Navalta shares, “It’s our personal contribution to clarify all these myths and perceptions and to bring out the truth. To have a deeper understanding of Mindanao and the people from Mindanao, and hopefully, to have inclusivity in the midst of diversity. That is already a very good reward for all of us. If people would understand Mindanao better, if the conversations are more meaningful and goes beyond the stereotypes, then it’s worth all the sources that we have poured into this activity.”

IPG Mediabrands’ Navigate Mindanao is in partnership with ABS-CBN, ANC, Synergy Market Research + Strategic Consultancy, Mindanao Development Authority, the Department of Tourism, DCIPC, and DZMM, Metro.Style, DOOH, United Neon, Duty Free Philippines, and Adobo Magazine.
