Romantic Glamping Spots In the Philippines

Camping isn’t for everyone, really. The lack of ventilation, sleeping in tents, the lack of water—where do we even begin? But luckily, people who want a piece of nature can now enjoy it at their own terms—thanks to glamping.

Basically a portmanteau of glamour and camping, glamping is all about marrying the beauty of nature with luxury and comfort. This upcoming Valentine’s Day, why not head to these glamping-worthy sites—and Instagrammable, too—to make your holiday a special and romantic one for you and your loved one?

The Birdhouse, El Nido

El Nido has been dubbed one of the most beautiful islands in the world—and nothing is better than experiencing El Nido’s beauty in an up-close overnight experience. The Birdhouse is located 100 meters away from the beautiful Maremegmeg’s beach and close to the 45 islands that are waiting to be explored. Nestled on top of large beautiful trees are luxury tents referred to as “nests,” that can give the most breathtaking views of the island.

If you’re concerned about electricity, sadly to say there isn’t much electricity to go around. But there are solar powered lamps that provide USB sockets for charging different electronic devices.

Nayomi Sanctuary Resort, Batangas

Closer to the metro is this little hidden gem which offers hotel and glamping facilities. If you’re in for the whole glamping experience, Nayomi offers a glamping bell tent that comes with all the camping essentials—and more. There’s an electronic mosquito zapper to protect you at night, fans to keep you cool, power outlets for your devices, cute DIY lamps, and your own bathroom. For an extra special night, you can join the bonfire and the film viewing held under the stars, or dip in the beautiful resort pool.
