See And Experience Hawaii Through These ASAP Stars’ Behind The Scenes Snaps!
Feels like we’ve been to Hawaii from all the amazing and fun photos from these ASAP stars!
#SummerFeels is back as ABS-CBN stars flew to Hawaii over the weekend for "ASAP in Honolulu," which took place last Saturday at the Neal Blaisdell Arena. But before and after the show, the Kapamilya stars were able to explore and enjoy many scenic and tourist spots in Hawaii. Boy do we want to fly straight to Honolulu now to escape the rainy days here in the Philippines!
Check out these must-see and must-visit sites in Hawaii as seen through the photos of these ASAP stars.
When in Honolulu, never skip the famous Waikiki Beach, Oahu’s main hotel and resort area. It’s a favorite of many beach lovers since the rooms in the Waikiki neighborhood are literally just a few steps away from the sand and sea! If you’re looking to stay in the area, check out the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa, which offers sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and the Oahu shoreline.
It is also perfect for beginner surfers because the waves are calm and manageable. The spot is also perfect for a day full of activities since it’s located close to the high-end boutiques, restaurants, the Waikiki Historical Trail, Honolulu Zoo, and Waikiki Aquarium.
Of course, Yeng Constantino just couldn’t resist bringing her hubby along to Waikiki Beach!
Connected to the huge Waikiki Beach area is the Queen Kapi?olani Regional Park, the largest and second oldest public park in Hawaii. The public park is named after King Kalakaua’s wife, Queen Kapiolani, and was given to the people of Hawaii in 1887.
Now, the open grassy area is perfect for picnics and relaxation, and is frequented by sports enthusiasts since it’s equipped with tennis courts, soccer fields, and a 3-mile jogger’s course.
Kualoa Ranch Private Nature Reserve
Do you want to visit this popular filming spot where over 50 blockbusters like Kong, Godzilla, Jumanji and Jurassic Park were shot? Kualoa Ranch Private Nature Reserve is a 4000-acre private nature reserve and working cattle ranch, which has been the favorite of many film productions and tourists. Established in 1850, Kualoa was developed with the goal to protect the beauty of the area while developing sustainable recreational and agricultural destinations.
The Kualoa is also a favorite for outdoor weddings and offers different tours and activities including ATV adventure tours, Hollywood movie sites tours, the ocean voyage adventure, horseback riding trail, a Jurassic Valley zipline, and more.
For a chill hike and trail that ends with an amazing view, visit the Manoa Falls, one of Honolulu’s most famous waterfalls because of its accessibility from the Waikiki center. The hike is quite easy and takes you through a lush jungle filled with towering and endless greens, and ends with a 150-foot waterfall that gushes down from a cliff.
While the water is extremely inviting, it is discouraged to swim at the pool at the bottom of the falls, to avoid a bacterial disease known as Leptospirosis. Still, it was a trail worth traveling—as seen in the faces of Inigo, Bela, and Kim.
Sea Life Park
Bring out your inner kid at the Sea Life Park Hawaii, a marine mammal park, bird sanctuary, and aquarium in Waimanalo. The attraction is known for its up-close experiences with marine wildlife, sea lion shows, and huge aquariums. They also offer animal encounters where you get to meet and swim with the dolphins and sharks—and Kim did not miss the opportunity to play with one!
Pineapple Garden Maze
Located inside Ohau's Dole Plantation is this huge tropical fruit labyrinth, which is also known as one of the world’s biggest mazes. The maze is more than three acres huge with over two-and-a-half miles of winding pathways and 14,000 native plants.
Ride the pineapple express, visit the gift shop filled with pineapple goodies, and try to complete the maze that’s made a little more fun with a scavenger hunt. If you love pineapples, there’s no other place to satisfy your pineapple cravings than here. Check out Yeng, Morissette Amon, and Maymay Entrata having so much at the plantation!
Battleship Missouri Memorial
For something a little more historical and educational, check out the Battleship Missouri Memorial at Pearl Harbor. Remember that historic World War II story you’ve studied in high school? Get to stand at the exact spot where it ended, and establish a deeper understanding about the ships and soldiers who gave up their lives for that war.
Get to explore the interior of a warship on your own using a map and an acoustiguide audio phone or take part in a guided walking tour. Tired after exploring the gigantic ship? Stop by Wai Momi Shaved Ice like Moira dela Torre did to cool down with a sweet Hawaiian treat!
