Here’s A Shoe With A Sense Of Adventure For Campers And Travelers Alike

Specially created for the soldiers joining the elite french foreign legion - a shoe that would traverse through mud, sand and brush - the Palladium Pallabrousse boot gets a reissue to celebrate the brand’s 75th anniversary. Built in 1947, it was one of the first boots to be made of fast-drying canvas. Sturdy, light and water resistant, the boot’s design became timeless and is wearable today as it was on the battleground many years ago.

Joe Khalifa, Brand Marketing Director for Palladium says, “It began as a military boot before moving through the active, outdoor world as a utility boot for hiking and exploring.”

Palladium Philippines whisked members of the press on the Luxe Bus for a comfortable ride to SM Clark Pampanga where they opened their first branch. Apart from the brand’s iconic boots, Palladium Philippines also features the lesser known athletic shoes designs of the brand.

Khalifa wanted to take this time to share stories of the brand that aren’t so well-known. “What people might not be aware of is that Palladium is one of the first brands to be recognized for eco consciousness and sustainable product. So, of course, sustainability features heavily in many of our products today, but it all stems back from the nineties when we were recognized for being early adopters and early leaders in eco-consciousness.”

Palladium Philippines treated the press to experience a Kapampangan menu by celebrity chef Claude Tayag. Bale Dutung is a restaurant in Pampanga that mirrors Palladium’s ethos on sustainability. “This house is built from scratch and from scrap!” Tayag is proud to say.
