Amazing Spots To Welcome The New Year In Manila

Don't know yet how or where to welcome the New Year with a bang? We’ve got you covered. We listed your options—from a low-key venue to a crowded party to dance into the New Year

Welcome the New Year with a bang! If you’re not planning to go anywhere far to close 2019 and greet 2020, we’ve got you covered. Whether you’re looking for a quiet, but equally festive spot for a laid-back reception or a happenin' party place to dance to the New Year with friends, you’ll find something that would suit you here in the metro.

Bonifacio High Street

Last year, Bonifacio High Street welcomed 2019 with a massive street party called BGC X Taguig Pulse, where it overflowed with food and world-class performances. Jessica Sanchez, KZ Tandingan, James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Bret Jackson, and Curtismith were some of the artists who joined the concert that welcomed the New Year with those who attended. It then culminated with a 15-minute firework display when the clock struck 12.

Bonifacio High Street posted on their Facebook page an announcement about the #2020Rising New Year Countdown on Tuesday, December 31, 8:00 PM to be held along 5th Avenue. Leading the lineup of performers are Billy Crawford, The Itchyworms, Yeng Constantino, and Bamboo, among many others. It's certainly enough to expect great things again from the hippest city in the metro right now!

Crimson Hotel

For a more chill and laid-back evening down South, head over to Crimson Hotel at Filinvest City for some throwback-feels countdown. Crimson is bringing English rock band The Verve for a night of '90s live pop music. Come for the music, and stay for the international buffet spread, cool giveaways, and a throwback photobooth. Come in your best '90s outfit and win some prizes!

If you don’t want to head too far from the metro's center, then you’ll be pleased to know there’s also a New Year Countdown to 2020 happening at the Eastwood Mall Open Park. The party starts at 6 PM with entertainment from Meryl, Leanne and Naara, Ebe Dancel, Ben & Ben, Careless with James Reid, and Rico Blanco.

And if New York has a ball drop, Eastwood has its own tradition: The star drop. Wait for the star to drop at midnight and witness the most amazing fireworks.

Seda Vertis North

Here's a rare gem in the North. There’s only so many nice places to stay in and eat at around Quezon City, and if you’re not willing to brave the traffic this holiday season, you’ll be glad to know that Seda Vertis North is hosting some pretty good staycation packages and a kickass New Year’s Eve party to ring in the New Year.

Countdown to the New Year with free-flowing cocktails, a full spread of hors d’oeuvres and desserts, live band entertainment, and fireworks at the stroke of midnight at Straight Up Bar, which lends a spectacular, unobstructed view of Quezon City.

Discovery Primea

As one of the highest buildings in the metro, Discovery Primea is a great place to welcome the New Year with fantastic views of fireworks all around Metro Manila. This year, Discovery Primea is focusing on three amazing food fares, depending on your taste.

Join their New Year’s Eve Countdown at The Gilarmi Lounge for scrumptious tapas with your choice of G & T from their prized collection of extensive gin labels. There’s also a New Year’s Eve Buffet Dinner of Spanish cuisine at Tapenade. But for a more luxurious meal, book a New Year’s Eve Dinner at Flame for a lavish 7-course set menu.

The Palace Manila

Dress up in your best all-white outfit and join The White Ball: A New Year’s Eve Celebration by The Palace Manila. Dressing in theme gives you free access to all the clubs and bars at The Palace: At Revel, Xylo, The Island, and B.A.D/ Late Night Breakfast Bar.

Globe is co-presenting the party at The Island and features beats by Knoxville, Ace Ramos, SP Espinosa, JJ Saur, and MC Chunk. At B.A.D., the party will be hosted by David Gerochi, Manuel Torres, and Marty Lacson, with beats by Richard Capulong, Vera, and Jacob Ferrer.

Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom

One of the biggest and most anticipated events to welcome in the New Year is The Grand Countdown, which is hosted jointly by Resorts World Manila and Marriott Hotel Grand Ballroom. On its 5th year, this iconic countdown brings together the biggest stars in entertainment, that’s why tickets are always sold out.

In the recent years, the Grand Countdown has featured Lea Salonga, Lani Misalucha, Martin Nievera, Jake Zyrus, Darren Espanto, and Sara Geronimo. This year, Mr. Pure Energy Gary V and his talented kids Kiana and Gab are rocking the Marriott stage. They will be joined by fab rocker Nicole Laurel Asensio, '80s singer Randy Santiago, world-class performers the TNT Boys, and the Resorts World Manila International Acrobats and Dancers. Tickets include a dinner buffet and seats to the show.
