Amorita Resort: The Darling Of Bohol
There are places where upon arriving at their doorstep, you truly feel like you've come home. Amorita is one of them.
There are places where upon arriving at their doorstep, you truly feel like you’ve come home. Amorita is one of them. After ten years of being Bohol’s perfect mix of at-home comfort and luxury, the multi-award-winning resort atop a cliff on the south side of Panglao island continues to be the sweet escape. We visited them recently and found more reasons to keep falling in love with this piece of paradise.
The famous infinity pool. If there’s anything iconic about Amorita, it’s their iconic infinity pool overlooking the endless Bohol sea. Imagine sunbathing here with a frozen mango shake in hand. Ah, pure bliss!
Minimalist modern deluxe rooms. Sized a bit bigger than your usual hotel room, Amorita’s twin deluxe accommodations boast of a minimalist sensibility that’s not the least bit severe, and way more than the bare minimum. Luxe beds, a living area, and generous daylight is what you get and more.
Re-launched villas. If you’re looking for a little something extra apart from just a room, their villas are enough to make anyone swoon—from couples looking for a quick escape, to families wishing to spend a little more quality time away from the city. At 120-sqm, you get your own plunge pool and a view that’s to die for. Definitely our pick for an exceptional stay.
Saffron. Their well-loved, critically-acclaimed restaurant that serves buffet breakfast, amazing Boholano, Continental, and Asian cuisine for lunch and dinner, and snacks by the infinity pool is one of the main reasons you wouldn’t think twice about coming back.
Tomar. If you’re in the mood for tapas and some vino at sunset, head on to Tomar, Amorita’s very own Spanish restaurant above Saffron. Its sophistication and delicious Spanish fare automatically transports you to a dreamier vacation experience you didn’t think possible.
Nearby attractions. If you ever find yourself wandering outside the resort, be sure to take a walk along the white sand stretch Alona beach stretch, while snacking on malunggay ice cream at the Bohol Bee Farm store. Book yourself an island-hopping tour, or a land tour to see the world-famous Chocolate Hills. You’ll never run out of things to see and do!
