Supermodel Naomi Campbell Shows Us How She Keeps Herself Virus-Free While Traveling

Naomi Campbell isn’t just a fashion icon—she’s a jetsetting diva who won’t let any virus dampen her travels

Naomi Campbell, supermodel extraordinaire, killed it on the runways back in her day, and she’s killing ‘em all, too, nowadays – germs, that is! The supermodel won’t let any virus – not even COVID-19 – stop her from doing what she loves best: Traveling.

She recently posted an OOTD on her Instagram account, where she showcased her travel outfit. Check it out below:

We all know by now how filthy the airline tray tables can be—and Naomi, our queen, simply isn’t having any of it. And yes, Virginia, even first class seats can be a treasure trove of germs.

While some may think she’s taking it too far, Naomi said it herself that with the amount of traveling she does, she could be getting sick more often, but she doesn’t. She attributes her overall good health despite all the plane rides she takes to her pre-departure routine.

Last year, Naomi posted a video in her YouTube channel, where she shows us how she cleans her first class cubby, making sure to wipe down every surface that she could lay her hands on. She starts off by wiping down her seat’s armrests, TV remote control, seat belts, tray table, windows, pockets, and compartments.

What’s in her bag?

A pair of disposable gloves

A pack of Dettol surface cleanser wipes (according to its website “kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, including E. coli, salmonella, MRSA, and the flu virus”)
A seat cover (which appears to be a towel that she buys at the airport and sends to the hotel laundry for hand washing)
A face mask

“No matter what plane you take, private or commercial, as the plane descends, people start coughing and sneezing, and the coughing and sneezing makes me… I just can’t,” Naomi says. “This is my protection from people’s coughing and sneezing.”

Whether or not her latest OOTD would catch on for the fashionably frequent flyers is yet to be seen, but who knows? We’re taking heed and following her advice.

“As much as I travel, I should get sick so much more with colds and stuff, and I’m blessed that I don’t, and I really think that this helps me,” she asserts.

We believe you, Naomi. We believe you.
