Slay With A Free Vacay When Bora Re-Opens This October

There was a massive uproar when Boracay closed just a few months back, but a majority of Filipinos felt it was a long overdue cleanup, with unsightly trash and a sweeping sewer smell emanating from everywhere, ocean included. Even inhabitants of Boracay had expressed their desire to see it in its original pristine state and be able to welcome tourists back to their beautiful (and now hopefully clean) beaches.

It’s been announced that Boracay is set to re-open again by the end of October, and everyone’s eager to see the big improvements on the beach, in the sewage system, and the overall well-being of the island we love so much. There have been some videos and photos making the rounds on Facebook, showcasing what it actually looks like now. If those photos are untouched and un-Photoshopped, then it looks like a revamped Bora indeed.

As if on cue, there’s also something else that’s launching soon—the Club Access Card from Megaworld that will let you stay overnight in Savoy Hotel Boracay for free, just in time for the island’s re-opening. All you need to do is to avail of the annual membership and right away you’ll be able to enjoy the exclusive privileges packed with perks and discounts from six existing homegrown hotels across the country.

The great thing is, it’s not only in Boracay that you’ll be able to use the card. You’ll be able to enjoy perks in other popular vacation spots also around Manila, including Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, Richmonde Hotel Iloilo, Belmont Hotel Manila, Savoy Hotel Manila, as well as the soon-to-open Twin Lakes Hotel Tagaytay, and Lucky Chinatown Hotel in Binondo, Manila.

“Club Access is designed for the quintessential traveler, someone who wants to experience the best accommodations our hotels can offer in several key destinations like Boracay, Tagaytay, and soon, Cebu. It is perfect for people who love being pampered and know that they deserve the best,” says Natalie Lim, General Manager of Richmonde Hotel Iloilo, who also serves as the Club Access spokesperson.

You’ll have less things to worry about in your stay when you’re using your card, as its perks are not limited to accommodations. If you’re treating your friends to an expensive dinner, it gives lots of discounts even in their restaurants. If you’re tempted to give yourself a little extra pampering, don’t fret about how expensive hotel spas can get. You can even enroll in gym memberships and use other amenities at a fraction of the cost.

Being on vacation is really about teaching yourself to enjoy slowing things down. And one way to achieve that is to have less things to think about when you’re traveling—whether you’re travelling locally or abroad. If there’s a way to make things easier for yourself, go for it. Comfort and convenience are always worth spending a little extra on.

See you in Boracay!
