Umbria is a region in central Italy known for its rolling hills and valleys, history and food. One of its most well-known food products: The black truffle.

Casa San Gabriel is a family-owned luxury boutique hotel located in Umbria. The property has acres of greenery surrounded by olive trees, and a pool with a stunning view of the Umbrian valley. It is just a 20-minute drive from Perugia, the capital of Umbria.

Once a week in the summer, the family—David, Chrissie, Elisabetta, Lucia, and their canines, Cuba and Bessie—invite the guests to make their own pizza using “a traditional, outdoor, wood fired bread oven,” creating a truly authentic Italian experience.
