Here's The 'Crash Landing On You' Switzerland Itinerary You've Been Waiting For!
Still hung up on the K-drama ‘Crash Landing On You’? Here’s a one-week itinerary in Switzerland you can follow to retrace Jeong-hyeok and Se-ri’s love story and happy ending
If you’re as smitten as us with the K-drama “Crash Landing On You,” then you must have read all about the actors Hyun Bin (Capt. Ri Jeong-hyeok), Son Ye-jin (Yoon Se-ri), Seo Ji-hye (Seo Dan), and Kim Jung-hyun (Go Seung-joon); coveted (and planned to shop for) the OOTDs of Se-ri; bought the lipstick of Son Ye-jin for kissable lips and face mask used by Hyun Bin to achieve that flawless skin; and wanderlusted over the shooting locations featured in the show.
Now’s the time to live out your CLOY dreams! Buy those airline tickets and book that hotel, as we’ve got your one-week (or two, just like Se-ri!) Switzerland a la CLOY itinerary. Here’s what you need to know—and more!
AIRFARE
At the moment, there are no direct flights to Switzerland. Some of the airlines that offer flights to Switzerland from Manila, with one or two layovers, are Swiss Airways, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways, Cathay Pacific, Etihad Airways, Emirates, and Oman Air, among many others.Given that a Philippine travel ban is still in place due to COVID-19, why not take a side trip to Seoul, South Korea? There are a number of airlines that fly to Incheon, so you can schedule a short visit to Seoul before or after your Switzerland trip.
VISA
Any Filipino passport holder traveling to Switzerland will need to get Schengen visa via VFS Global, so no need to go to the Embassy of Switzerland. You may find the requirements for the application of a Schengen visa from the Schengen Visa Info website.YOUR 7-DAY SWISS ITINERARY
A part of Capt. Ri Jeong-Hyeok and Yoon Se-ri’s love story took place in Switzerland, in particular, cosmopolitan Zurich and the breathtaking Bern region. We’ve created an itinerary that will take you to the places that our two leads have been to in the series.

Café & Confiserie 1842
There are a number of cafes on Zurich where you can try this, but why not head to the popular Café & Confiserie 1842, which is six minutes away from Lindenhof Fountain?

Confiserie Sprüngli
Prefer a café with some history? Check out Confiserie Sprüngli – which opened in 1836 – and also serves a buffet brunch. Confiserie Sprungli’s main branch is just three minutes away from Münsterbrücke.

DAY 2: INTERLAKEN
Get to the heart of Switzerland’s alpine region. Interlaken is an hour and a half’s drive away from Zurich and is the perfect jump-off point as it’s considered a transport hub in the Bern region. If driving a rental car in Europe doesn’t appeal to you, a scenic way to get to Interlaken is to take a 2-hour train or bus from Zurich to Interlaken. Here is a panoramic view of the Interlaken landscape from ‘Crash Landing On You,’ Episode 16.

DAY 5: AM - INTERLAKEN
Perfect weather in Interlaken means it’s time to take to the skies! There are a number of outdoor activities that one can do in Interlaken, but paragliding, hang gliding, and sky diving are some of the favorites, as what better place to see the world from a bird’s eye view than amidst the Swiss alps.
DAY 5: PM - ISELTWALD
Later in the afternoon, head to Iseltwald where you can see for yourself the very same lake where Jeong-Hyeok played on the piano the song he made for his brother, for the first and last time. It’s just a 30-minute train ride away from Interlaken.

DAY 6: LUNGERN
Finally, cap off your CLOY tour with a day trip to Lungern in Obwalden. It’s an hour’s train ride from Interlaken, and while you can’t stay in the same house as Jeong-hyeok and Se-ri supposedly live in while in Switzerland (it’s a private residence), you can at least visit the region where it’s located.
DAY 7: BACK TO ZURICH
Before flying back home (or to Seoul for a layover, maybe to see the North Korean village set), head back to Zurich and go shopping for Yoon Se-ri and Seo Dan’s outfits. Where to go? Bahnhofstrasse Is the best place to shop for designer labels and luxury brands.
