Makati Shangri-La Manila
Makati Shangri-La is offering special Chinese New Year menus from February 15 to 16 at the Shang Palace.
For February 15, their special lunch offer includes their Premium Dim Sum Plus menu for P998 and your choice from the Chinese New Year Set Menus. The CNY Set Menu offers three choices: the Gold Set Menu for P2,588 per person, the Jade Set Menu for P3,888 per person, and the Diamond Set Menu for P6,688 per person. The CNY Set Menu is also available for dinner reservations.
On February 16, Makati Shangri-La has a special Festive Dim Sum Plus menu for P1,888 for those dining in at lunch. The CNY Set Menu is also available for lunch and dinner reservations.

Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila
Felicity is the theme at Sofitel this coming Chinese New Year and they are offering a feast prepared by Spiral’s resident Chinese Chef Michael Tai that highlights specialties and recipes that have been served to royalty in imperial China. Lunch on February 15 to 18 starts at P2,850 per person while dinner starts at P3,450 per person.
There will also be a traditional Dragon Dance and Chinese acrobat performances during the duration of the season.
You can also score a discount for Chinese selections that will be served at the Sunset Bar on New Year’s Even. Enjoy traditional Chinese cuisine while you watch the stunning fireworks set off as the hotel ushers in the New Year on the night of February 15. Book a table via the Prosperity Feast form until February 11 to avail of the 25 percent discount.
City of Dreams Manila
City of Dreams Manila has a variety of events and culinary offerings throughout the Chinese New Year season, including a special CNY a la carte menu, a CNY Happiness set menu at P3,680 per person, and a CNY Abundance set menu at P6,680 per person. The kids—and kids at heart—will especially enjoy the Chinese New Year VIP Package at P1,588 that includes a VIP All Day Pass at DreamPlay, exclusive photos with the Kung Fu Panda masters, a special screening of the Secrets of the Masters, Chinese New Year Red Packets, and a Lantern Making session. Marriott is bringing two special Chinese New Year menus to Man Ho until February 16. A 10-people lauriat spread called the Good Fortune Set Menu offers Man Ho favorites such as the Barbecue Combination, steamed lapu-lapu in light soy sauce, fresh scallop salad, pan fried beef fillet with black pepper sauce, and more at P33,880.
The traditional Poon Choi or the “big bowl feast” is now available the restaurant, as well for P15,888. The Poon Choi is a bowl of premium ingredients including Abalone, Prawns, Sea Cucumber, Dried Fish Maw, Sea Moss, marinated Duck, Dried Scallops, Taro, Vegetables, and must be ordered 2 days before.

Novotel Manila Araneta Center
Novotel’s Food Exchange Manila is offering a Chinese New Year-themed buffet, which will feature auspicious offerings and dishes prepared by Chef Allan Meng.
The buffet includes specialties from the Chinese station, which includes Beijing Duck, Cucumber Jellyfish in Garlic Sauce, Homemade Dumplings, Spicy Seafood, Cantonese Fried Noodles, Steamed Fish in Soy Sauce, and more.

Marco Polo Ortigas Manila
Marco Polo Ortigas has two special Chinese New Year set menus at Lung Hin, plus season exclusive dishes such as Poached Hong Kong Sesame Chicken, Sauteed Imperial Tiger Prawn with Supreme Stock, Signature Marinated Pork Knuckles, and Poached Yellow Croaker Fish with Tofu.
The Double Prosperity set menu includes Lung Hin favorites such as Barbecued Roasted Pork, Crispy Roasted Hong Kong Chicken, and Sauteed Fresh Scallops with Fresh Squids and Broccoli. The Endless Fortune offers a traditional feast that includes Steamed Fresh Lobster with Glutinous Rice in Bamboo Basket, Half Crispy Roasted Suckling Pig, and Steamed Live Abalone with Minced Garlic.
You can also purchase a Double Happiness Koi Nian Gao in orange and coconut flavors, available at the hotel throughout the Chinese New Year Season.
Shangri-La at the Fort
From January 29 to February 14, Shangri-La at the Fort is offering a sumptuous Chinese New Year spread specially prepared by Executive Chef Wang Wei Qing. Set menus start at P29,888 for a table of 10 persons, which includes traditional Chinese dishes and a non-alcoholic beverage. You can also order some of their adorable puppy buns.
If you’re interest in learning how to make dim sum, Shangri-La at the Fort is also offering a Dim Sum Making Class on February 13 at the Canton Road. The Class will be instructed by Chef Wang Wei Qing himself and he will teach you the basics of these classic types of dim sum: Nian Gao, Mingnan crispy peanut dumpling, baked pumpkin black truffle and chicken puff, and steamed lotus paste buns. Prices for the class are at P1,888 for kids and P2,988 for adults.
