And when they did, the two sealed their second chance at love in a beach wedding last August. </p><p>The couple said their “I do” vows on the sands of<strong> Banua Beach Resort</strong> in Pacifico, a sanctuary found in the north, far from the usual Siargao crowd. Rather than the stress-filled countdown most brides dread, Ikit traced the process with gratitude and to one’s liking.</p><p>The national-level athlete revealed, “The best part of preparing for the wedding was seeing family and friends helping one another. Teamwork was on a different level. They all made sure that I wouldn’t be stressed on my wedding day. There was so much love and support we felt from our friends and families. We’re beyond grateful.” In this couple&#x27;s case, wedding preparations became their own celebration.</p><p>Ikit walked to the altar in a gown that was the definition of understated chic: a strapless satin sheath dress with a straight neckline and a soft train. No lace, no glitter, no heavy embellishments—just clean, sculptural lines that mirrored the purity of the occasion: “It feels modern and fresh. We were together for a long time, and we broke up four years apart. Somehow, fate brought us back together again. It was such a perfect mix of emotional and fun,” Ikit continued.</p><p>Ikit also left a piece of advice for the brides- and grooms-to-be: “Focus and stick to your dream wedding idea. Explain to the whole team the idea of what you really wanted to happen. Never compare your wedding to others. ⁠Trust and communicate openly with the team. ⁠Set a budget and prioritize. ⁠Set a plan B in case plan A doesn’t work. ⁠Choose to ENJOY more than being stressed.”</p><p>For the couple, that meant stripping away the “must-haves” and leaning into what mattered most: love, laughter, and the people who made the day unforgettable.
