<p><strong>BLACKPINK</strong>&#x27;s <strong>Jisoo</strong> and <strong>Seo In Guk</strong> brought K-drama fans across the globe a new series worth binge-watching: <strong><em>Boyfriend on Demand</em></strong>. Currently, it&#x27;s the No. 2 show on <strong>Netflix Philippines</strong>, and Filipinos are especially drawn to the series, knowing it was <a href="https://metro.style/travel/2026/3/10/jisoo-spotted-enjoying-the-philippines-during-boyfriend-on-demand-filming-1835">partly filmed in Cebu, Philippines</a>. In an episode, a wedding scene was filmed in Cebu, and the venue is one of the dreamiest places to hold a destination wedding!</p><p><em>Boyfriend on Demand </em>is a 10-episode series. It stars Jisoo as <strong>Seo Mi Rae</strong>, a webtoon producer navigating the demands of her job while trying to juggle her love life. In the workplace, she meets Seo In Guk as <strong>Park Kyeong Nam</strong>, also a webtoon producer, whose aloof personality doesn&#x27;t blend well with Seo Mi Rae&#x27;s at first. She discovers a virtual dating subscription service that lets her experience dating all sorts of men across all sorts of love story genres. Unknowingly, the man she shaped in this digital realm has an uncanny resemblance to Park Kyeong Nam, making her confused about her feelings. </p><p>Seemingly opposite to Park Kyeong Nam, this character, <strong>Gu Yeong Il,</strong> is more outgoing and outspoken, with his hair color and style indicative of his bolder personality. </p><p>In a series of scenes, we see Seo Mi Rae and Gu Yeong Il dating and having a blast together. One scene in episode 7 specifically shows the two dressed in white ensembles, walking down a flower-lined aisle in this striking triangular chapel with beautiful wooden features and elegant architecture. With glass doors and windows all around, the intimate space is bathed in natural light, enhancing the couple&#x27;s glow as they make their way to the altar. The views of the ocean in front and the garden on the sides make the scenery more breathtaking. </p><p>Seo Mi Rae is a laid-back bride in an off-shoulder dress and braided hairstyle, exuding a boho chic vibe. Gu Yeong Il is a cool groom in a white tank top, breezy button-down, and soft trousers. DOT&#x27;s post stated: &quot;Filmed in Cebu in February 2025, the series showcases some of the island province’s beaches and tourism offerings. Tourism frontliners, hospitality staff, have their own scenes at the series, with the Filipino warmth and service taking the spotlight. The series was spearheaded by the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT) Korea Office, in coordination with the DOT Office of Film and Sports Tourism, the DOT Regional Office VII, and tourism stakeholders in Cebu, with support from airport authorities helping ensure the smooth arrival, departure, and stay of the cast and production team during filming.&quot;</p><p>One of the chosen locations was <strong>Shangri-La Mactan</strong>, a luxury 5-star beach resort in Cebu. Jisoo and Seo In Guk not only filmed scenes at the resort&#x27;s beach and its boat jetty but also at the property&#x27;s <strong>Ocean Pavilion</strong>. </p><p>Shangri-La Mactan&#x27;s Ocean Pavilion is perfect for intimate wedding ceremonies or receptions. It can accommodate about 100 guests; for a banquet-style event, 60 people can comfortably fit in the venue. A-frame architecture has a distinct charm, especially when a structure is amid a lush garden that softens its sharp features, and that&#x27;s the case with this Ocean Pavilion.
