For two days, it transformed into a ceremony space that felt almost removed from the city—layered with fabric, sculptural blooms, and gentle curves that softened every edge.</p><p>At the center of that transformation was Curtis Baclig of <strong>Flower Mom PH</strong>, who was tasked to take on the vast outdoor space—her first time stepping forward not just as a supplier, but as the stylist shaping the entire scene.</p><p>There is a softness that greets you first.</p><p>Not just in the palette—blush, cream, and white—but in how everything moves. Fabric lifts slightly with the wind. Paper blooms hold their shape, yet feel almost weightless. The aisle curves instead of leading you straight ahead, drawing you in slowly.</p><p>It doesn’t feel staged. She had a wooden backdrop built, arranged everything herself, and, somewhere in the process, realized she enjoyed it more than she expected.</p><p>“I didn’t think much of it at first,” she shares. “But I liked doing it.”</p><p>What began as a one-time setup became something she could offer others. She put the backdrop up for rent online, and to her surprise, people started booking—intimate celebrations, small gatherings, moments that needed just a bit of effort to feel special.</p><p>From one piece came more—props, pedestals, different setups. Because of COVID restrictions, most of it was DIY for clients. Curtis would deliver everything, and they would assemble it themselves.</p><p>Then she came across something that would change the direction of her work: oversized flowers from Korea.</p><p>“I was so drawn to them,” she says. “I knew I wanted to learn how to make them.”</p><p>It wasn’t easy. The first attempts didn’t quite work. But she kept going—watching tutorials, trying again, adjusting, figuring things out alongside her husband. Slowly, the work became more personal.</p><p>“It wasn’t just rentals anymore,” she says. “It became something I was really putting my heart into.”</p><p>That shift didn’t go unnoticed. Before long, her work was being tapped by some of the country’s top event stylists—<strong>Gideon Hermosa</strong>, <strong>Teddy Manuel</strong>, and others who saw potential in what she was building.</p><p>For Curtis, it was both exciting and intimidating.</p><p>“When you’re working with people like them, you really have to level up,” she says. “You can’t just give something that’s okay.”</p><p>Watching how they worked—how much attention they gave to detail, how seriously they took their craft—became a kind of quiet training. These became her practice ground, though she didn’t immediately think of them that way.</p><p>“It was gradual,” she says. “But there was also a moment when it just clicked.”</p><p>As a supplier, her role was clear: support the vision. But there were times she would look at a space and imagine something more—something different—only to hold back.</p><p>“I felt like I had to stay in my lane,” she admits.</p><p>Until she decided not to.</p><p>The decision to step into styling came with its own set of doubts. Would people see her differently? But this was about seeing if she was ready for something more.</p><p>So she was invited to take on a space no one had styled before—the vast, open-air terrace. It wasn’t the easiest assignment. In many ways, it asked her to step out of what she was known for and into something bigger.</p><p>It became a collaboration in the truest sense: trust given, and returned.</p><p>The setting itself is striking—glass, steel, clean lines, the city stretching out in the background. Instead of matching that sharpness, she chose to soften it.</p><p>“I wanted to balance it,” she says. “To make it feel more romantic, more fluid.”</p><p>Instead of a traditional ceremony setup, she created something more organic—curved structures that seem to grow out of the space, layered with her signature handcrafted flowers.
