In Photos: You'll Love The Rustic Minimalist Aesthetic Of Miko Raval And Kaira Dimatulac's Wedding

Nine years together, and now, forever to look forward to!

Star Magic talent Miko Raval married Kaira Dimatulac in a simple ceremony on February 1, with the couple finally making the happy announcement on Instagram last night. 

Perhaps the sweetest part of their relationship is that they were college sweethearts; both were students at the University of the Philippines, and even when they transitioned to their adult lives and rearranged their personal priorities, they remained each other's anchors and biggest inspirations to be their best. 

Before Miko Raval married Kaira Dimatulac, he learned an important life lesson that he would keep as a boyfriend, and now, a husband. It's that plans can change no matter how hard you work to make them as flawless as possible, and that in the end, what matters is that you and your partner are happy, fulfilled to be together, and love each other just the same. Plans come and go, and they can be redone—a relationship can't.

It's something that the husband and wife truly embraced months before their big day. They were gearing up for a big wedding party with all of their favorite people in attendance, but then came COVID-19. And like so many other couples who had to switch gears in the snap of a finger, this Mr. and Mrs. soon realized that it was alright to let go of their "dream wedding." The dream, after all, was not the venue, the event, the long guest list, but rather, to be with each other for life and solidify their commitment to each other in a marriage.

In an interview with Metro.Style, the couple said that they wanted to do away with too much décor so the focus would stay on them. “’Yung wedding, yes, it's a celebration of our love. Pero I would say it’s just for formality. Kasi hindi mo naman masusukat ’yung love sa wedding lang eh,” Miko muses. “After the wedding, ang haba ng buhay namin together.”
