Look! Sarah Lahbati And Richard Gutierrez Hold A Civil Wedding
Sarah and Richard postponed their wedding due to the coronavirus outbreak, but earlier today, the couple decided to get married, holding a simple and intimate event in lieu of the big wedding celebration they initially planned
Last March 12, Sarah and Richard announced that they've decided to postpone their wedding due to the coronavirus outbreak in Manila. It was a tough decision to make, but it had to be done so as not to put any of their guests at risk.
Earlier today, the couple decided to hold a civil wedding instead since Sarah's family members from abroad have already arrived in the Philippines prior to the postponement of their wedding. Held in Taguig, the ceremony was "simple, intimate, and practicing social distancing" as Richard's sister Ruffa put it. It was followed by a reception at Samba in Shangri-La The Fort where their bigger celebration was supposed to take place.
As the couple shared photos from this special day, they can't help but still be thankful for this chance to celebrate their union with their loved ones albeit through a small gathering.
Of the event, Richard's brother Mond says, "With less than 20 guests, tonight’s ceremony was not the original plan, but made it more meaningful. Love conquers all, even during a pandemic!"

The bride—who was glammed up by makeup artist Jelly Eugenio, hairstylist Paul Nebres, and nail artist Mimi Qui Reyes—looked simply radiant in her white off-shoulder pleated dress by Mark Bumgarner, while Richard was dashing in a black ensemble topped off with a white coat.
The same suppliers who helped Sarah and Richard plan, conceptualize, and organize their supposedly big wedding celebration were also the ones who contributed to pulling off this event: Events by Amanda Tirol, wedding photographer Pat Dy and his team, event stylists Gideon Hermosa and Teddy Manuel, and wedding videographer Bob Nicolas. The couple also thanked Pastor John Ong and Judge Bernard P. Bernal.
The couple ends their Instagram post about their civil wedding with a hopeful message for all: "Lord, heal the world... Let’s spread love and kindness.❤️Stay safe, everyone!!! 🙏 #thistooshallpass Sending love and light to all ❤#MrAndMrsGutz."
Congratulations and best wishes, Sarah and Richard!
