"The Italian Royal Wedding"—The Trending Details Of The Blonde Salad's Chiara Ferragni's Stylish, Fun-Filled Nuptials
Chiara Ferragni of "The Blonde Salad" fame got married to her long-time partner, rapper Federico Lucia aka Fedez over this weekend. The Italian couple—who welcomed their first son, Leo, last March—solidified their relationship and formalized their union through a dreamy, lavish, and fun-filled wedding held in Noto in Sicily, Italy.
Chiara, a 31-year-old multi-hyphenate who first enjoyed popularity with her “The Blonde Salad” blog that started in 2009, has established herself as a digital influencer over the years. Her success as a blogger eventually led to her scoring modelling and endorsement deals, which further helped make her a prominent figure in the fashion circle.
With her entrepreneurial mindset, Chiara later founded an eponymous footwear line of sparkly, glittery pieces that bear her signature wink-eye design. It was a brand that attained phenomenal results—proof of this is how it quickly expanded into accessories, women’s clothing, and even kids’ apparel. All these contributed to what made its founder worthy of the top spot in the Forbes list of most powerful fashion influencers last year, among other recognitions.
For #TheFerragnez wedding, one certainly cannot expect less from Chiara. Every detail of the grand affair was well thought out and absolutely fit for a fashion It-girl. Read about one of the most beautiful weddings of the year below:
The private flight to the wedding venue
Chiara and Fedez flew their guests to Noto via a private flight courtesy of Alitalia, the flag carrier of Italy. The couple—including Chiara’s mascotte—welcomed their guests aboard not with a red carpet but a customized pink carpet that had their wedding hashtag or branding on it. They had customized pins, bottled water, and snacks for their guests.
The rehearsal dinner / welcome party
For the welcome party, Chiara donned a sparkly, beaded cocktail dress, which was customized for her by Prada. The party was held in Palazzo Nicolaci, a historical 18th-century palace, with Italian DJ Benny Benassi and Italian singer Guisy Ferreri livening up the night.

The wedding ceremony
Chiara and Fedez tied the knot at the beautiful garden in Palazzo Nicolaci that was dressed up with lush greenery and scattered white flowers. The sophisticatedly extravagant wedding has been dubbed by Vogue as "the Italian royal wedding."
???????????? #TheFerragnez
The wedding gown and bridal shoes
The bride wore a stunning haute couture wedding dress (which is said to have been made of 400 meters of fabric) especially designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri of Dior, a European luxury brand Chiara has had several collaborations with. Delicate and romantic, the dress features a lace bodice and a frothy full tulle skirt (a little surprise: beneath the skirt is actually a lace romper!). She paired this with a custom white Dior shoes, the brand’s famous kitten heels, which had her first name on them.

What the bridesmaids wore
The bridesmaids were dressed up by Alberta Ferretti. The Italian fashion designer created for them pink pleated long dresses made of sustainable fabrics. During preps, Chiara and her girls wore matching satin tank top-and-shorts combos.
“When I was asked by Chiara to design the dresses for her bridesmaids, I immediately accepted and began thinking of way to make the project not only special, but unique. Glamour and fashion have always been attentive to the world surrounding us and the important causes that confront us daily, like being ethically sustainable. With the creation of the eco-sustainable gowns, we wanted to make an event as multimedia heavy and viral as Chiara and Fedez’s wedding not only a celebration of their love and union, but a message that communicates ethical beauty” The perfect bridesmaids at the wedding of the year wear custom made #AlbertaFerretti gowns made with sustainable fabrics in collaboration with @ecoage. #GreenCarpetChallenge #ChiaraFerragni #AFcelebrities

The wedding rings
The couple's custom engraved wedding rings were made by luxury Italian fine jewelry brand Pomellato, which Chiara is endorsing.
The reception and Chiara's dresses for the night
It was a starry night for #TheFerragnez wedding reception. The dome-like venue was filled with lights all around, making the affair dreamier than it already is. Outside, there was also their very own carnival (which they called the Luna Park), complete with ferris wheel, a carousel, and even carnival games with stuffed toys inspired by Chiara and Fedez as prizes.
There were lots of dancing and singing—the groom even performed onstage! Then there was a fireworks display to cap off the night.
Chiara changed into two Dior dresses: one is a beige printed ball gown and another one in the same hue that is ballerina-inspired.
The multi-tiered cake was truly one of the highlights of the events! It was even housed in a gazebo filled with lights!
The giveaways to the guests resembled that of the memorabilia for a true royal wedding: mugs and plates with a photograph of the couple, which seemed to be an edited version of one of Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding photos. As Chiara is popular for her footwear line, it was also not a surprise that they had pairs of shoes, particularly espadrilles with #TheFerragnez print, as souvenirs.
