Teddy Manuel Transformed The Sky Dome To A Disney Castle For This 1st Birthday Party
Castles, princesses, and splendid things! Kids and kids at heart will be in awe at the sight of this lavish setting made possible by event stylist Teddy Manuel.
Princess Summer Cu just celebrated her first birthday with the concept revolving around Disney princess, an idea from the parents of the celebrator, Patrick Jason and Shane Cu.
Teddy is widely known for his elegant wedding setups filed under the hashtag #TheTeddyManuelExperience. Tapped to make this first birthday party extremely memorable, Teddy pulled out all the stops in creating a dreamy, fairytale-like venue that impressed both young and adult guests. Disney princess is a favorite theme for children's parties but this one was just impressively over-the-top.
Now, we cannot talk about this party without mentioning that it was held at SM North EDSA's Sky Dome, an events venue which has a seating capacity of 1,500 and a floor area of 190,000 sq. ft. Yes, it's that huge! And Teddy transformed it by creating a Disneyland castle from scratch, complete with multi-layered ceiling installations.
When asked about his design process for this the event, Teddy said he focused on creating a stage design with a matching ceiling that captured the idea of the entire concept. He tells Metro.Style, “To decorate the ceiling, we added chandeliers, floral installations, laser cutouts, crystal hummingbirds, and hanging light boxes to give an opulent palace feel. We created a castle for the stage and individual floats that were used by different Disney princesses like Mulan, Moana, Elsa, Ariel, and Belle.’’

Pulling off an event this magical and majestic requires an extensive visualization of the theme. It is important to accommodate all the necessary elements in a limited space, to complete the entire layout Teddy envisions. “We had to dig deep into our inner child and look back on the memorable Disney details in order to execute this properly,” Teddy shares.
To go with the dressed-up venue, the event was also made memorable by the performances from Madison Events Inc. and Geraldine Agir Uy.

For a first birthday party this grand, some people may think of it as excessive. But for parents Patrick Jason and Shane, it is their way of celebrating the wonderful blessing that Princess Summer is in their family's life. Mayad Beginnings was able to show just how grateful they are through a touching video.
