This Mamma Mia-Inspired 20th Wedding Anniversary Celebration Was Stunning In So Many Ways!
Gideon Hermosa strikes again!
One of Philippines' most talented and in-demand florists and event stylists continues to impress with every special occasion he beautifies—or every venue #Gideonized, as he prefers to call it. This month, we're especially wowed by a pastel masterpiece he put together for a lovely couple's three-day 20th anniversary celebrated in scenic Amanpulo.
Creating multiple layouts for the event with "Mamma Mia" in mind, Gideon ensured that the theme's color palette and overall vibe would translate the award-winning broadway play and film's beautiful settings.
"Creating a new twist to the famous #MammaMia theme in the most idyllic setting that is Amanpulo," he wrote on Instagram as a caption to his photo of a blue canoe filled with peach, lilac, and cream flowers. The view almost looked candy-like with a tropical sunset lending its kaleidoscope of colors in photos.

Another setup Gideon created with the hlep of La Belle Fete Weddings & Events was an al fresco dinner table. Here, Mamma Mia's Grecian scenes really shone through! Lots of breezy blues and whites accented by bright and happy yellows and oranges made a beautiful welcome dinner for the couple and their guests.
Flowers—some in vases, some in bunches, and some even hanging some feet above the gound in umbrella-like fashion!—soft candlelight, and other decorative elements were perfect complementary elements to the intricate flatware and silverware used, resulting in a seamless vision that almost needed the ABBA greatest hits album to complete the experience!
For a third setup, Gideon concentrated on making a beachside aisle possible that was inspired by Elysian fields.
Re-living her wedding day, this bride seemed to have walk towards her aisle amongst blooms that were as sweet as freshly baked Georgia peach pie with a dollop of whipped cream on top. Utterly sweet and feminine, this ivory and sun-kissed vision was simple and uncluttered.

It's worth noting that although Gideon is known for his majestic, no-holds-barred approach to floral décor, this trained eye also knows when to take a step back and let a naturally beautiful setting take center stage. This time, he let Amanpulo's aquamarine turquoise horizon take over, his designs simply highlighting the beauty already present.
And then, of course, there was also the evening setup that mimicked the starry skies of the island.
An arc brought to life by a metal frame and hundreds of dainty fairylights served as the backdrop for countless photos taken that night, the bride and groom themselves taking their time to admire how romantic it all turned out. Shaped like the tip of a leaf and lined with candles positioned on the powdery beige sand, the setup made it impossible not to feel the love that evening.

Last but not least was the bride's bouquet of dusty lavander calla lilies and delicate white roses and feathered accents. Matching her Francis Libiran gown done in full lace, the bouquet completed the look in style.
