The Peninsula Manila Thinks In Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness This October
For the 8th year in a row, The Peninsula Manila invites guests to enjoy "Peninsula in Pink:" a month-long campaign that allows guests to experience award-winning amenities, services, and dining experiences for a cause this October—the support of breast cancer initiatives in the country and the hotel's partner institution, the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc.
Here's what you can do to help:
Afternoon tea for charity
No other Peninsula Manila experience is as quintessential as having afternoon tea at its iconic lobby. In October, the five-star hotel is preparing a Pretty in Pink Afternoon Tea set of sweet and savory rose-tinted treats to remind guests of the advocacy. Enjoy it as is, or with a flute of rose chamapgne.
P100 will be donated to the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc. with every order of the a limited edition tea set.

Toasts for a reason
All of this luxury destination's dining outlets will be serving up two specially concocted beverages: Rosas, a delicious pink cocktail, and mocktail One for the Cause.
Again, a P100 donation will be made to the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc. with every glass purchased.

Rest easy
After a drink or two of the Peninsula's October-only cocktails, the only thing left to do is to head upstairs to your very own room for a good night's rest.
Luckily, a special staycation package has been put together for guests and includes a Pretty in Pink Welcome Amenity, Pretty in Pink Peninsula Afternoon Tea for two at The Lobby, as well as a beauty kit from Estée Lauder Companies containing Clinique Moisturizer and Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Cream, a buffet breakfast for two adults and two children.
With a room booking, a P500 donation (per night) will be made to the Philippine Foundation for Breast Care, Inc.
As a final invitation, the Peninsula Manila general manager Mark Choon wishes to convey the following message: "One in every 13 Filipinos falls victim to it and as a man, a brother, a son, a husband and the general manager of an institution that has worked for 42 years with various local organizations to help make a difference in the lives of Filipino people, I believe very strongly in the fight against this terrible disease.”
His sentiment is one that the hotel's hundreds of employees share, and one they hope to pass onto their valued guests, too.
To fuel the 2018 Peninsula in Pink edition, Mark and his staff look back at last year's feats: East Avenue Medical Center's Breast Care Center was successfully rehabilitated, and now features an expanded reception area, a new wing, a second floor, and 20 brand-new chemotherapy infusion chairs.
The project was accomplished with the Peninsula Manila's partner in breast cancer awareness, Estee Lauder Companies.
