Their classy and timeless wedding is truly peg-worthy for couples putting together a minimalist celebration
Tacloban Councilor Hon. Raymund Romualdez and Raissa Tan recently tied the knot in a simple, classy, and intimate wedding celebration.
Hon. Raymund Romualdez serves both the legislative and executive branches of government. He is the Chairman of Barangay 88, a Tacloban City Council member, and the president of the Liga ng mga Barangay for Tacloban and Region 8.
Through his role as Liga President, he provides health services and aid to indigent families in Tacloban City. He also conducts assemblies to promote regional collaboration among barangay leaders. As a councilor, he has passed resolutions to improve infrastructure and local peace. As Barangay 88 Chairman, he has initiated community projects such as solar street lights, reforestation, and medical assistance.
Raymund also founded Hiraya Tacloban, a non-profit organization focusing on youth education, environmental preservation, and sports development. Recently, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) named an award after him as an appreciation for his projects on disaster risk reduction and contributions to disaster relief and recovery efforts in Tacloban City following Typhoon Yolanda.
On the other hand, the bride, Rai’s passion lies in creative entrepreneurship and adventures, the latest addition to her ventures is a resort and surfing school at Calicoan, Guiuan, Leyte. Despite her background, she keeps herself grounded and goes out of her way to promote Philippine tourism and environmental preservation all while being in support of Raymund and his projects and initiatives for Tacloban.
During the speech of the groom’s father, Tacloban City Mayor Hon. Alfred Romualdez, he expressed his support for the couple and thanked Raissa for her unwavering support and unconditional love for Raymund, his causes, and his advocacies— from founding Hiraya to fulfilling all his duties as a public servant.

Here are five things we loved about this wedding:
The minimalist, chic, and timeless bridal ensembles
Raissa's sophisticated taste was mirrored in her choices of wedding outfits which were all free from embellishments. When she was getting ready for the wedding ceremony, she wore a strapless body-hugging dress by Isle. For the ceremony, her wedding gown was backless with a square neckline, accessorized simply by a statement necklace and a pair of stud earrings. Come the wedding reception, Raissa changed into another strapless piece, this time with a flowy, flared skirt.
The bride's wedding bouquets
An essential in every wedding, we love how a bouquet add a personality to a wedding ensemble. For Raissa, she had two bouquets, one for the ceremony and another one for the reception, both featuring white flowers to match the simplicity of her attire.
The classy black and white reception venue
While over-the-top wedding styling is awe-inspiring, it's also refreshing to see a subtly luxurious approach with a classic black and white color scheme. For Raymund and Raissa's wedding, the tablescape by event stylist Randy Lazaro featured clear glass vases with white flowers alongside small white pleated lamps and muted green accents. And the venue styling is seamless and consistent with the rest of the wedding's elements.
The couple's photo shoot with their squads
This is always one of the fun parts of a wedding: those pre-wedding ceremony scenes where the couple bonds with their bridesmaids and groomsmen. Raymund and Raissa's wedding encapsulated the perfect mood for this part of the big day. NicePrint Photo beautifully captured those candid moments, where the couple and their friends bonded over drinks, pizza (for Raissa and her bride squad), and conversations.
The couple's candid shots that capture their love
Posed photo shoots are great and all, but we think nothing beats unposed shots which capture the subjects' genuine emotions and expressions. And Raymund and Raissa have a lot of such images to look back on.
Congratulations to the couple!
