This Luxurious, Design-Driven Hotel In Boracay Has The Most Breathtaking Spots For Your Wedding
Imagine saying "I do" on a floating platform atop an infinity pool, with clear skies, calm seas, and the famous Boracay sunset sealing your union in the most scenic way
We dare you to not say or think the word "wow," or any adjective similar to it, once you step on the lobby of The Lind in Boracay, a brand under Scottland Leisure, Inc. Its unassuming entrance through the basement leads to a beautiful surprise: a wide, high-ceiling lobby in muted tones of creams and grays with its floor-to-ceiling windows framing the beautiful architecture of the property, the stunning view of its infinity pool, and the breathtaking Boracay skies. It's a scene that's impressive in photos, yet even better in person.
As you move along, its +36 Lobby Lounge & Bar is hard to miss, with the display of its beautifully crafted cakes and a glimpse of its sophisticated interiors inviting one to discover more. The bar is cleverly named after Boracay's area code, and it proves to be a great spot for mid-day snacks and afternoon/evening cocktails.
Step out onto +36's deck, and appreciate one of the best views in the property. A walkway made of wooden slats is underlined by a landscaped garden with huge birdcage cabanas and leafy coconut trees. It serves as a prelude to the best area in The Lind, and it's where one can take in the many beautiful layers of the 5-star lifestyle hotel exceptionally designed by Manny Samson and Associates.
Walk further along, and you'll arrive at the Infinity pool area overlooking The Lind's beachfront. The view from here is so spectacular you'll find it hard not to fill your phone's gallery with many photos of it—it's just lovely from all angles and at different times. It's easy to see why this is a favorite spot for intimate wedding ceremonies and receptions. The outdoor venue—which is categorized into the pool deck, pebble area, and spa deck—can comfortably fit in 50 to 100 guests.
If you think the morning view at the Infinity is already amazing, wait till you see the world-famous Boracay sunset here—it's inarguably one of the most romantic sightings you'll ever lay eyes on.
Brides-to-be, look around. Imagine saying your "I dos" in such a picture-perfect place that even your guests will cherish.
Creating wonderful weddings is, after all, one of the things The Lind Boracay has been known and loved for.
"The layout of it already has some surprising elements in it. You have a great view towards the sea, and also a great view inside... We focused very much on the lights, setting the atmosphere and getting the guests into the right mood. We used many exciting patterns, fabrics, materials... Also, the furniture pieces, they're very creative, exciting, interesting; you wanna sit on them. It's very important that the design should not only be focusing on the aesthetics but at the end of the day, it must be comfortable... I truly believe that aesthetic and function must go hand in hand, and I think we got that right," says Zsolt Siket, the new general manager of The Lind Boracay, a hip, design-driven, and eco-conscious hotel.
Located at the end of White Beach's Station 1, The Lind is the only property in this side of Boracay that has a spacious ballroom that can accommodate functions. The Lind Ballroom can accommodate 280 banquet guests. It may also be divided into three separate rooms for more intimate gatherings. Its outdoor viewing deck provides the best vantage point that overlooks the beach and the entirety of The Lind, but on some occasions, it may also be transformed as a spot for an intimate wedding ceremony or a cocktail area for an event.
These features just make the top layers of The Lind. Scratch further beneath the surface and you'll find more hidden gems within this sprawling 119-room property.
An intimate wedding ceremony or reception may also be held at its beachfront which is now double in size as compared to when it first opened in October 2015. Allow your guests to ditch the formal footwear for more casual pairs that will let them feel the powdery-white sand in between their toes with every step they take. Here, where the sky, sea, and shore meet is where a couple's road to wedded bliss begins.
Options that may be explored for an intimate reception is The Lind Boracay's Crust beach bar and restaurant, located right by the beachfront, which prides itself in its own rustic brick oven and in-house made pizza dough, breads, and pastries; a must-try here, too, is its fall-off-the-bone roasted meats.
Across the Crust is the main swimming pool area, where The Garden Poolside also holds so much promise in leveling up your wedding festivities. Once, there was a couple who even thought of using this whole space for their welcome dinner, with the bridge design serving as a focal point for the décor.
During their media familiarization tour, we were given a glimpse and taste of the wedding menu they can put together for couples. At the event, which was scheduled in the afternoon so we can catch the Boracay sunset, a dinner setup with an elegant tablescape by event stylist and florist Teddy Manuel was prepared. The menu included assorted artisan breads and condiments, wild mushroom soup (sage mascarpone and truffle soup), assiette of salmon (hot seared ginger salmon and pickled cucumber), salmon tartare (smoked salmon, salmon eggs, caviar and crispy capers), fillet steak rossini (seared foie gras, truffle pomme purée, buttered French beans and Madeira sauce. While all these were being served, a talented duo provided sweet and lively music that complemented the quiet night, and a gin corner by the infinity pool offered a wide array of drinks much to everyone's delight.
Aside from these beautiful, Instagrammable (a must for young couples these days!) spots for the wedding ceremony, reception, and all the photo opportunities that come with them, The Lind Boracay also offers spacious and well-designed rooms for the couples and their guests to enjoy and rest in. The rooms' sizes range from 47 to 181 sq.m., with options such as the The Garden Room with two double beds and a view of the main swimming pool area and its lush surroundings; the Sea Room features a Super King bed and a daybed, and has a breathtaking view of the sea; the Garden and Sea Premier Rooms, both of which have the second largest balcony space from where an unobstructed view of the ocean can be seen; the Beach Room directly faces the beach and includes a Super King bed, a day bed, and a large bathtub; the Garden and Sea Rooms with Pool give guests the option to swim in their own private space; and the Presidential Suite with a combined floor area of 181 sq.m. that features a living and dining areas, a bedroom with a walk-in closet, a large balcony where an intimate party may be hosted, a large bathtub, and a pool.
Other amenities at The Lind Boracay that guests will especially love are The Spa Wellness Boracay and the Tartine restaurant. Having The Spa is a definite bonus for this property since it's known for its excellent service. A bride-to-be and her entourage may go on a beauty rest and pamper session as preparation for the big day. The day after the wedding, the newly-married couple and their family and friends may continue bonding at Tartine, which offers a delicious breakfast buffet with lots of options from continental classics to Asian favorites.
Recognizing their property's unique appeal for weddings, honeymoons, and romantic getaways, The Lind Boracay offers a "Just for 2" romantic holiday package, which starts at P36,700. This 3-day, 2-night stay package includes accommodation in a Sea Room, Garden Premier, Beach Room, Sea Premier, or Garden Room with Pool; a one-time private 4-course dinner for two; a one-time couple's 6-minute classic combination massage at The Spa Wellness Boracay; daily breakfast; and roundtrip land and sea transfers from Caticlan Airport. This offering is valid until March 31, 2020 except during peak periods.
Currently, The Lind also has the "Travel Local" promo exclusively for Filipinos, wherein room rates start at P10,000++ per room per night for a minimum of two nights stay.
Much more than the look and ambiance of The Lind Boracay, what truly makes for a value-for-money experience here is the flexibility of the hotel and its ability to meet the preferences and requirements of their guests. They provide you the canvas in which you are welcome to paint a picture of your dream wedding, then they help you turn that into reality.
As for the overall definition of the world-class service they offer, Siket shares, "We would love to touch all the five senses of the guests—everything you see, taste, feel, smell, and hear. In the lobby, when you arrive, you get the wow effect not only with what you see but also when you you hear the music. It sets a nice mood and creates an ambiance. With the correct lights, with the visual effects, with the smell and the sounds, these can easily put you in a beautiful state of mind."
For couples who are embarking on a new milestone, they deserve nothing less than a piece of heaven on earth, and all that The Lind Boracay does and hopes to do are geared towards that.
