The season's hottest movie 'Twisters' is finally in cinemas and we're simply ecstatic! The original 'Twister' movie that came out in 1996 gave us the adrenaline rush we needed via the natural disaster-themed plot and its lead actors Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt, but now, fast forward to 2024, we're in for a whole new treat via Twisters—led by actor of the moment Glen Powell and the beautiful British actress Daisy Edgar-Jones.


Powell, known for his roles in 'Top Gun: Maverick', 'Hit Man', and romantic comedy 'Anyone But You' is back and is in fighting form for his role as Tyler Owens, a social media superstar who loves to share his daredevil experiences.

While Powell has had his fair share of topless moments in films (read: that beach football scene in Top Gun: Maverick), we still can't get over the fact that he still looks good fully dressed—well-defined arms and shoulders, a tight torso, and washboard abs. We simply had to do our research—what exactly does Powell do to achieve this kind of physique.

According to a cover feature he did with American Men's Health, the actor worked out hard and thoroughly for the photo shoot—apparently even hot men like him take these things seriously and make sure they look the part, and not just slack off hoping the photographer would 'Photoshop' his abs. For this particular shoot, he worked out with celebrity fitness trainer and owner of Ultimate Performance Nick Mitchell. Mitchell shares that Powell wanted to look 'Not overly muscled,' with 'eyes drawn to the detail of abs/serratus/intercostals, etc.

As for his preparations as Hangman for 'Top Gun: Maverick', according to Ultimate Performance, Powell got ripped by following a strict regimen to get him ready in seven, yes, seven weeks only! According to Ultimate Performance, 'Glen needed to build the ultimate body for a shirtless beach American football scene in the new Top Gun film, so he turned to the experts to build the ultimate body', and 'His goal was simple: build broad shoulders, a muscular chest, and blockbuster abs in seven weeks.'
