Here's What You Need to Know About The Government's One Hospital Command Center
Finally an app that helps Filipinos find hospitals during the COVID-19 pandemic!
While the COVID-19 situation in the country often seems bleak, we still try to do everything under our power to make sure we as individuals contribute to the solution, not the problem.
That includes being well-informed about the government's latest guidelines, programs, and regulations with regards to the pandemic. As of writing, the country's current statistics are as follows: 234,570 total cases, 69,112 of which are active. 161,668 cases are reported as recoveries, while 3,790 as counted as fatalities. The numbers may seem frightening, but we must take heart and push on with the fight against this health crisis.
Just recently, the government launched its newest initiative to help citizens find hospitals for COVID-19-related cases. It's no secret that a lot of our local hospitals are overwhelmed with the sheer number of patients—whether COVID-19-related or not, so it's imperative that a systematic process be put in place.
Just because you feel that you have COVID-19 symptoms, doesn't mean you should immediately head to your nearest hospital. Chances are, that hospital is already running at full-capacity, making it very difficult to get a room, let alone a consult with a physician. That's why with the launch of the government's One Hospital Command Center, the goal to manage cases nationwide becomes a reality.
The program's goal is to help Filipinos find hospitals during this time, with the help of the PureForce Citizens App (available on both iOS and Android). Simply download, register your personal details, and report your concerns as needed.
This way, the command center is able to monitor and manage cases everywhere, helping our local health system work efficiently at a time when it's needed most.
While we hope you never find the need to use this app to report a COVID-19 case, it sure is a big help for citizens who are close to clueless during the crisis. Share with your family and friends, but most of all, each day, make sure you are doing your part in solving the coronavirus problem: stay at home unless absolutely necessary, practice excellent hygiene, wash your hands with soap and water, bring alcohol everywhere, eat healthy, and stay hopeful!
Together, we solve this pandemic. Stay safe everyone!
