Our Own Nüwa Spa Experience

Last weekend, Metro had the opportunity to experience the best-rated spa through the Nüwa Suite Journey package which features three heavenly treatments specially curated to lull one into deep relaxation. The package also comes with a light snack, with menu options ranging from an open-face tuna crostini to a refreshing fresh fruit platter. At the reception, you will be asked when you prefer to have your snack, either during or after your treatment, so a seamless, delightful experience is ensured.

After checking in at the spa reception, you are led to the locker rooms and facilities, where you can change into your spa robes and store your belongings. (Here’s a little tip: Do make sure to come at least 30-45 minutes ahead of your appointment so you have ample time to enjoy the sauna, steam room, and heated vitality dipping pool, prior to your treatments.)

Our personal Nüwa Spa wellness journey officially began with a 30-minute Indulgence Milk Bath that saw us soaking in a bubbly, milky bath with rose petals. (Skin felt so soft afterwards, Cleopatra would be jealous!) Afterwards, we dug into our chosen light snack: a delicious chopped salad with herb chicken, served with sherry vinaigrette on the side.

When we finished eating, our therapist Virginia ushered us to the massage table which had been set up perfectly for our 30-minute Coconut-Sea Salt Body Scrub. Here, she gently sloughed off rough, dead layers of the skin to reveal a smoother, more supple surface. A warm, relaxing shower afterwards was in order to rinse the sea salt scrub off.

Finally, it was time for the 60-minute Signature Nüwa Spa Massage, which uses a blend of techniques to knead and relieve all knots and tension in the body. This full-body treatment leaves one feeling rejuvenated and refreshed, and we have to admit that it was difficult to stay awake for the majority of it—it was just that relaxing!
