Feel Good Podcast of the Week: The Minimalists
The Minimalists founders Joshua Fields Milburn and Ryan Nicodemus discuss topics on how to live a meaningful life with less possessions.
We can't deny that we live in a world that promotes the mentality of acquiring more, doing more, being more. While aspiring to achieve more in life is certainly not a bad thing, it's the obsession about acquiring more material things that becomes a problem.
To quote Dave Ramsey, "We buy things we don't need with money we don't have to impress people we don't like.” To help us move away from this pressure to keep acquiring material wealth beyond our actual needs, the duo behind The Minimalists, Joshua Fields Milburn and Ryan Nicodemus teamed up to form The Minimalists, a movement that promotes meaningful living with less.
Being a longtime fan of their work, I have personally appreciated the many articles they've published on their website, and still keep some of the most important lessons to heart. In a time where living with less and going back to basics is having a renaissance, The Minimalists' work comes in handy, and can serve as a compass for daily life choices we make in terms of consumption.
