KC Concepcion Dishes About Nail Secrets And More Details About Her Latest Collaboration With Happy Skin
If you’re someone who loves nail polish just as much as we do, buying more bottles, trying every color and learning new nail art techniques is a slight obsession. After all, what’s not to love about them? They’re satisfying to look at, they'e fun, and relaxing at the same time.
Nail polish brands typically come out with new colors each season, and while we’re usually pleased with the shades, nothing gets us more excited than a good celebrity nail polish collaboration.
In case you haven’t heard yet, one of our local favorite brands Happy Skin collaborates with actress, TV host, and jewelry designer KC Concepcion to come up with a limited edition nail polish line called Happy Skin x KC Express Gel Polish Collection. This collection consists of two shades inspired by KC’s favorite flower, the rose, which in fact, she also used in her designs for her debut jewelry line, Avec Moi by Kristina. “Roses for me are like women,” she said. “A rose is a flower that is fragile but also strong. And when you look at a rose or when you smell a rose, it just uplifts you. So that’s why the rose for me is very symbolic—I became a woman in the last 2 to 3 years, I went from being a girl to being a woman. It’s very symbolic for me to have the rose as a symbol of womanhood.”
“The nice thing about my shades Power and Beauty is they can go for both mestiza and morena skin tones,” KC added. “So whether you’re on the fairer side or on the bronzed beauty side, it can work for both skin tones.”
Staying true to their brand promise, these gel polishes give the benefits of conventional gel polish without the UV lamp and the tedious and damaging removal. And according to KC, if there’s one thing she’d preach in the name of nail care, it would be, "The same way you take care of your hair and skin is the same way that you should take care of your nails. Don’t neglect them. We don’t really talk about our nails but it matters talaga."
