The Healthy Options stores are such a regular feature of our urban landscape today, that it’s easy to forget that this retailer specializing in all-natural products opened its first store way back in 1995, with a grand total of four employees. Fast forward 25 years, and with 33 stores nationwide, it’s the first and largest chain in its niche - a niche that has grown exponentially in popularity and shopping preference. Since their new store format opened at Uptown Mall BGC, I’ve had nothing but good things to say about their new in-store section, Baking Therapy. Their freshly baked Demi-Baguettes and Sun-Dried Tomato Focaccia, and Gluten-free White Loaf are regular highlights; but my favorites are their Walnut Sourdough, and the Gluten-free Multi-Grain Loaf. They’re proud of their Cinnamon Coffee Muffins; but the one I’m always tempted to bring home when I’d drop by is their Chocolate Tart. Most are available on their online store.
Safe for keto diets, and a favorite of the lactose-intolerant (and you can count me as one of the latter), is the Pure Harvest Almond Milk. This is my choice when it comes to cereals. Fresh eggs from local farmers, choice cuts of natural beef and pork, and sustainable seafood choices—Healthy Options upped their game as the COVID-19 quarantine extended, with delivery in thermo-controlled boxes one the features of their online store service.
With their Marina pasta; one immediate favorite quick-meal to indulge in is their flat pasta, with Tiger Prawns and Lyrate Hard Shell Clams. The Clams are first-rate; and they’re a nice addition to the Prawns, adding a swirl of flavors to this Mixed Seafood pasta recipe.
When it comes to Immunity and Nutrition, two major concerns of responsible, health-conscious shoppers today; Healthy Options is mindful of being one reliable supplier of products that cater to these concerns. It’s all part and parcel of the vision and philosophy behind the brand.
