Held at Look at Me, SM Aura Premier, the event delighted guests with personalized makeup recommendations straight from the master himself. We picked up insider tips and learned how to amplify our look through the lens of a professional. Albert also exclusively shared with METRO a foundation swatching hack, flawless base tips, and a beauty gift you can never go wrong with! </p><p>For Albert, makeup comes with preferences, “makeup is preference,” he said. “Personally, as a makeup artist, I’ve done makeup for more than 18 years—there’s nothing right or wrong in terms of makeup. <em>Kanya-kanyang </em>preference<em> talaga</em>,” Albert explained, enlightening that each routine differs, just like how he recommended the shade “Chai” to me among all the Skin Master Foundation shades. </p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1762236686833SnapInsta.to_491894051_18499226530052743_5318236940929176335_n.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded"/><span class="fr-inner">Teviant Skin Master Foundation</span></span></span></div><p>Before finding my perfect foundation shade, Albert shared a fascinating tip on foundation testing: swatch it not on your arms or neck, but on the alar of your nose. He detailed, “<em>Mabilis mamula</em> ‘yung side <em>ng</em> nose <em>natin</em>. So from there,<em> makita natin kung mali ‘yung</em> undertone or <em>kung mali ‘yung</em> color.” </p><p>Furthermore, our skin’s condition can be tricky, and in some cases, makeup oxidation occurs, depreciating our looks rather than amplifying them, “when you&#x27;re lacking sleep or, <em>kung nag</em>-oxidize yung makeup <em>mo</em>, <em>mauna ‘yung</em> oxidize <em>dito</em>,” Albert added. “So <em>kaya nga ako</em>, when you&#x27;re testing on the color of your face, I like to put it here because if mali yung undertone or <em>umaangat siya</em>, <em>makikita agad</em>. <em>Kasi</em>, this side is full of color and very sensitive, <em>siya</em>.”</p><div><br/></div><div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded" style="width:700px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1762236785094SnapInsta.to_566579334_18336254809236645_3259682896131258632_n.jpg" style="width:700px" class="fr-fic fr-dib fr-rounded"/><span class="fr-inner">Teviant Deity Dust</span></span></span></div><p>As the holidays approach, Albert recommends a universal product we could never go wrong with, “this one, the Deity Dust palette,” suggesting it as the most versatile palette Teviant has. “So it has a blush on, highlighter, and we have a bron-tour (Bronzer and Contour). So they can use it in the eyes and lips, and you can never go wrong with these three because any lady will love blush, contour, and highlighter,” Albert described. </p><p>While Deity Dust is a good multi-way product, we clarified to Albert, out of all the shades, which one stood out to be the most universal for gift-giving:  “The most universal shade is &#x27;office hour,’” he answered. “Not only because it’s a universal color, but at the same time, an easy-to-love color,” he insisted, describing the palette with a blush that’s muted, a highlighter that’s not too white; multidimensional when applied, and a contour with a tone that’s not too warm nor too cool.</p><p>Have a beautiful holiday season, everyone! <em><br/></em></p><div><em></em><em>Teviant products are available online and in-store.
